We're just a few guys from a BMW dealership out hitting some trails. We swap the helmet camera from time to time between my yz125x, Wilson's 300xcw, and Matty's cr125 for some different views. I'm slow and new to enduro but love doing it. Thanks for checking me out!

There's a good selection of everything at the gap!
Is this Burma Pennsylvania?

First off, this is an excellent video!! I have a question. We just put the tv screen back in. All wires appear to be plucgged in. Im testing it out before we get the headliner back in, but doesnt seem to power on. Do i need to connect everything else to complete a ground/circut for tv to turn on or am i missing something.
Thanks! Off the top of my head, I'm not sure. I believe there are two connections on the screen, but with those connections running through the frame, make sure everything is correction at the rear roof. There are a ton of antennas, filters, etc back there, and wiring can be mixed up. Color coding helps, but the connectors themselves can reach other locations. Prior to checking that, might not hurt to put the car in theater mode to try to play something rather than just powering on.
What camera and mount are you using? That is perfect
Thanks! I've seen a bunch of angles and I really wanted the first person experience without behind too high, low, or otherwise weird. It's just a normal velcro chin mount from amazon. I'll find a link and comment back here later. With it, I mount my camera upside down, but during edits it automatically figures out which way is up.
@@weeblewobbles Wow. I thought for sure that was a chest mount.

@@user-kj2zb2um2f I believe I was the only one that day to try it. I’m on a 23 yz125x with BeRad’s freight train kit and that was 2nd from the start once I made it. I found shifting to cause things to get a little wild so it’s best to start in 2nd. Back then I would have been running stock mx33 tires. Today I’m running an m59 front and at81ex rear. It’s a completely different bike with that rear and at times a little scary. I used to slide my way to the top of things, but now I wheelie at 2k rpm. Just checked out burma for the first time with the same bike. Loving the vids man
Nice! Burma is a great spot. Always something to explore there. Did you do anything to the bike? After the first ride, I caved and bought BeRad's freight train kit. It basically turns it into a lightweight 300
@weeblewobbles put on an aluminum skid plate some hand guards and the oversized tank. I'm just starting to get fully comfy with getting loose on the bike. Been watching all of your videos getting so pumped to get back out there. Out of the fro single track which do you find the most mellow? Love the content thanks for the reply.
@@billcreek1234 Locust Gap and Burma have the best overall variety. Parts of each can be pretty nasty, but you're more likely to find something there that's not so deadly. At Locust Gap, I'd recommend heading across 54. It's pretty flat over there. At Burma, there's a section right off the parking lot that is pretty tame as well past the coal piles. There's also North of the parking lot at Burma bordering a watershed, but the entrance is tricky and continues for the first maybe half mile There's also this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZIWIz7BxaKuTZdY.html if you haven't seen it at Ashland North over 61 BUT everything else at Ashland North that I've ever found is not beginner friendly. This is generalized advice; even the tame sections have some pretty wild stuff with a wrong turn or two. Hope this helps!

Sick trail what state?
FRO properties (Locust Gap) in PA.
Hello! We are working on a one like this right now. Isn’t it possible just to remove the glass like you did, and also to cut the NEW one from the frame with a wire. The idea is just not to cut off or heat the frame from the car
No. The exterior side seals need removed to cut the glass out and are therefore damaged. And the light strips for the sky lounge need broken off the glass as well, damaging them in the process.
I'm sure there are other reasons I can't think of at the moment as well. BMW only sells the glass roof as an assembly with the frame. It'd be about a $9-10k risk doing anything with it that makes it non returnable.
What state is this?
Famous Reading Outdoors properties in PA
Hi there. Im actually working on one right now. We have the windshield and back glass out, headliner removed and pano glass removed. What did you use to cut the frame underneath out?? Help!?! 😂
If I understand correctly, ALL of the glass is out. At that point, there's no more cutting because the clearance between the roof frame and the body is too tight. You need a clamping jaw, engine crane, and heat gun heat VERY patiently. It takes a long long time. There are two K2 beads on the front so don't forget to get each one.
@@weeblewobbles okay thanks. We thought you were using a fien knife. Unfortunately we do not have a crane at our disposal..
@@RaddDadd29 It was a Fein to get the the glass sunroof off the glass sunroof frame. But the frame MUST be heated and pulled. ANYTHING else will damage the body.
@@weeblewobbles gotcha. I'll let my boss know. Thanks for the quick replies!
@@RaddDadd29 You got it. I try to keep up between cars when I can
What tool did you use to take the windshield without broking it ? Or you replace it too ?
Front and rear glasses were removed with the Spyder 3 by WRD Glass Tools. It's very easy and as long as there aren't any big chips around the perimeter, all glass can be removed and reinstalled. Both of those came out very nicely and were reused.
Where you stopped at 7:11-7:51, the original trail went on the off camber to the right with 0 trail cut in. We cut the trees on the spine to make it easier... which really isn't that much easier cause of the sketch factor lol. It's way more burned in (blown out) than when we found it a couple years ago. And there's a couple other pieces in there that branch off that trail; all gnar.
I just rewatched it a few times in that spot and that looks WAY SAFER!. Haha it was definitely sketchy getting around that tree. Especially as a shorter guy.
Thanks for the sub!
Sounds amazing bro 🔥
More nice trails. Thanks for posting.
Great looking trail to ride. Is that a WR?
As far as FRO goes, it's a relatively smooth trail and there definitely aren't many of them. Bike is a 2023 yz125x. This day was my first with an AT81EX rear and it was definitely an improvement over the stock MX33's.
Nice video! Really enjoyed the ride. Thanks for welcoming me along and hope to see you guys out there again soon.
Nino! It was great riding with you for the last part of the day. We’re heading out again Saturday, but don’t know where yet if you want to come.
Cool vid, what a sick trail!!
It’s a great little single right off Burma road. There’s some rocky doubles leading to that hill climb which I typically don’t film and some great stuff after but the battery died. I should have more of that trail in a similarly titled video from a month or so back.
I know I say it a lot but if FRO did like quarterly or seasonal passes I would be there !!! I get why local riders enjoy that they don’t but man if I were closer I’d be there for sure !! Thanks for sharing your experiences
There was a survey at the end of the year last year for members about offering day passes with a member (bring a friend kind of thing). I’m not sure how it all went but it was proposed.

NEW SUBSCRIBER !!!! 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤👌👌👌👌
What rear tire are you guys using
You picked the perfect time to ask! This was my first day on an AT81EX and it was sticky! I previously had the factory tires MX33 which I really didn’t have any complaints about. As far as ratings go; logs: about the same, roots: definitely better, rocks: an absolute cheat code I had to relearn how to ride. Normally I’d slip and grip and here I found myself with the front wheel off the ground and stalling at times. Highly recommend.
Nice
La GoPro hace que todo parezca bien, pero ese sendero estaba al borde de un acantilado en cualquier dirección. No tener espacio para pisar era aterrador.
Oh Frank. :/

At fro ?
Yep. We spent a good portion of our day heading from Locust Gap to Ashland north; most of this clip is on our way back but all on the Locust Gap side of things.
sweet vid.
Thanks! I plan on hitting that one again. It definitely presented some challenges and the "side of a cliff" thing was both exciting and terrifying.
This is in PA?
@@curtiswlkr Yes. At Famous Reading Outdoors properties. Coal Country PA.
We have some (kinda similar) terrain where I’m at in Northern California. Lots of single track heavy forested areas. The KZread algorithm fed me your video and I had to look where that was. Disappointed it’s so far away!!
Yay KZread! It’s very rocky here. It’s actually retired coal mining property. Rocks and roots (especially at Burma) I’ve only been riding for a little over a year in terrain like this and it’ll either kill you quick, or teach you quick. Safe to say I’m pretty addicted at this point.
what kind of bike are you riding
Matty (red) is on a 00 CR125 and I'm on a 23 yz125x with BeRad's "freight train" kit.
This side of locust gap that is connected to aoaa ?
I'm not sure where AOAA starts and ends but it is within FRO lines. The first section of power lines near the parking lot is a stay out area as of recently, but you can take the woods route over 54 back to them. Hang a right and go up and down a nasty rocky double and dip in from there. It's just East of where they're logging out some of Locust Gap
That’s some great single track. Thanks for posting.
Thanks! I should have today's ride up in the next few days at the latest; exploring the far East side
Great footage ! The video does not do justice to how steep these hills are!
It really doesn't. The GoPro effect is real
I enjoy your videos! We just rode Burma this weekend too. Where do you mount your GoPro? What settings do you use?
I have a generic chin mount from Amazon and mount it upside down. The footage self corrects itself to facing the correct way. I shoot 4k@120 with all the preset image stabilization
Hi how much did this cost to do? Have a similar issue, and was this all in one day?
This was over the course of a few days. Cost was roughly $15k with the glass costing marginally more than the labor.

So, I’ve watched a ton of your vids. Yesterday I finally made it to locust gap and took single track over and around Ashland. Let me say, the vids don’t do the technical nature of the riding there justice. We cranked out 26 miles and I felt like I had been wrestling a bear and getting kicked in the nuts. Thanks for all of your vids, now I have some real context! 🥵
Thanks for your support :) It really is wild out there. Suspension obviously soaks some things up but the real magic is in the image stabilization of the GoPro. There are plenty of times I get hung up and when I watch it back, it looks so stupid. You really can't truly understand what it's like out there until you're out there. My first day doing any of this kind of riding was about a year ago. And I passed out the second I got inside. It's a humbling place for sure.
Nice riding boyz!

What do you use to put the map and compass on the screen?
If you record with GPS enabled (GoPro), you have the option to overlay them in Quik. It's all done on the phone app and takes FOREVER to encode. I usually start with about 40 clips and the encoding/saving process takes about 14 hours. I believe it can now be done on Quik for Mac. I'm patiently awaiting Quik for PC which would probably cut those 14 hours down to about 30 minutes.
