  Hi! Just subbed. You seem like you are a serious collector. Wow - that is a giant stack - you are lucky!!!! Wow - right off the bat, the first two comics are making me drool. Your shirt is cool - your. Kids have great taste. Hey, can your friend send me a box??? JK. I really want that Spider-Man 113 - such a cool cover. How did he give you Godzilla 1??? Rawhide Kid is a fun series. This box keeps getting better and better. I’m a big fan of Marvel 2-in-1 - loved it as a kid. I am trying to work on a full run. Amazing Adventures ten center….mouth dropping. It just keeps going. I’m stopping my comments now. I’m just dripping with jealousy. Good for you. If all your vids are like this, I won’t know what to do.

  Hello! New subscriber here, I like your content. The thing I find is when I go to you channel, I can't read the descriptions to your videos because of the background. Especially the light areas makes the text hard to read. I have the same problem on other KZread channels too. Maybe you could change to a dark background? Just a suggestion 😊 I really like all silver age comics 😁

  Good questions. I had to make a cut off somewhere, so I was trying to stick as close to the actual official storyline as possible. But you could certainly trace the backstory to those issues.

  I found an app that lets me see all kinds of different prints and variants for all kinds of comics throughout the years but I’ve seen some prints or variants on your channel that aren’t on the app. I’ll follow your lead if that’s alright.   2:01 I was scammed by my local comic book shop in 1993 with issue 500 of The Adventures of Superman. I was 8 years old and was really big into collecting these Superman comics. It took me months to save $80 and I wanted the Platinum Edition for Superman #75. The comic book shop guy took advantage of my naiveness and sold me the Platinum Edition of issue 500, telling my 8 year old self that it was the Superman #75. I ended up paying $80 for a $20 dollar book at the time. Didn't realize it until a few years later. I still have the Platinum Edition in my collection, but will never forget that scumbag.

  I am about halfway very jealous of you and your 11-book set. Because I also very much want an 11-book set of John Carter paperbacks but I want a different set; I want the ones published in the 70s, although your 60s set are quite awesome, too. Thanks for showing off your awesome John Carter books with the issue #1 of the Marvel comics series as the backdrop. Did you know that all 28 issues of the comic book take place between two paragraphs of Book 1? "The entire series (with few exceptions) takes place between the third and fourth paragraphs of chapter 27 of Burroughs' novel A Princess of Mars." (from Wikipedia) And that Frank Miller's first artwork for Marvel was in issue #18? I saw the Disney movie for the first time about 5-6 years ago and was blown away - watched it 20+ times - and I wanted more of the character. I learned about the books, but as you know we comic book guys (and reader/collectors of all things awesome) often get fixated on wanting something in a particular way. I stupidly passed on a nice leather bound volume of the first 5 books at Barnes and Noble for $25 but now those are on eBay for a LOT more. But then I bought another nice hardcover collection of the first 5 books at your favorite place, Half Price Books, for just $7.99. But I can't bring myself to read it though, because I want to read it as an old paperback novel! I just haven't been in the right place/time to do the lot bidding thing on eBay when one comes up like you did. But it'll happen one day. I did read half of A Princess of Mars on my iPhone but it was so good I stopped because I wanted to experience reading it an old used paperback in my hands like the ones you have. Old and previously read, but well cared for. On the comic book side, my LCS has had all 28 issues of the comic series in a bundle for $200 and I may break down and buy it one day but it would be quite a big side quest expenditure, so I have not done it yet. Same goes for the Omnibus - I saw one in the comic shop but decided against it. If I finally get and read through A Princess of Mars in paperback, then maybe I will feel that getting all the comics are a worthwhile investment for me. I really enjoy watching your videos - long time viewer (on KZread on my TV; not my computer) but first time commenter/subscriber. This video prompted me to get off the couch and subscribe and comment. Awesome to see another guy out there spreading the word about the John Carter books. Good video!

  I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I dig the Marvel series a lot but I think I prefer the DC adaptation in Weird Worlds 1-8. I want to buy the old Dell comics as well. Keep checking half price books for those 70s paperbacks.
