Heyo! I make pins for myself as well, and wanted to offer a suggestion! I bought a nail dust collector to gather the dust from sanding the pins, and it helped so much with the mess. Plus i have asthma so haha just thought I'd let you know

Try rolling your clay pieces out between 2 chopsticks or other guides, so they'll all be the same thickness

Note: I overlooked mentioning this in the video, but this pattern is best suited for chunky/chenille yarn type, rather than acrylic/cotton yarn. While you can certainly use cotton yarn, it may not look as neat a result as with chunky yarn. If choosing cotton/acrylic yarn, I recommend crafting the arms and legs separately and then sewing them at the end for a tidy look.
