  The Toy Aussie wears a moderately thick double coat. The undercoat is shed twice yearly and shedding is moderate between these periods, although degree will vary with individual dog. Regular brushing once or twice a week will help minimize shedding and keep their skin and coat healthy. The Toy Aussie's coat is not long enough to require heavy daily attention.

  What's the average weight for the Toy Aussies at 11 to 12 weeks? I got my baby a week ago and he was marketed as a Mini Aussie but I'm thinking he may be a Toy -- he's 11 weeks 5lbs only and we're trying to figure out how big he may get.

  I have a 3 year old Toy Aussie with level 4 Hip and knee issues. The Breeder said it was most likely because she was a runt. Do you have advice on if that is a thing andhow to report this so no other pet owners get 3500.00 Vet bills just so their babies can run and enjoy life?

  Christy I don’t have any idea if it’s due to being a runt but I do know that knee problems are common with Toy Breeds. I have all my adults tested prior to breeding and certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. I would consult a licensed Veterinarian for medical advice as to why this happened.

  I have a toy Aussie I rescued from a breeder who sold her due to her “not throwing the right colors on her puppies “. She was 2 years old and had just had her second litter when she came into my life! I have never seen a toy Aussie like her but she is beautiful! She has enriched my life beyond measure!

  PeacockLover 1410 Hello! Yes, she is a toy and 17 lbs. smaller than the Mini. I’ve hear that toys can weigh as much as 20 but she holds at between 16-17 depending on our activity. I wish I could share a picture with you. She’s adorable! You wot be sorry adopting a toy Aussie.
