Hey guys I'm thinking of getting the Modulus, we're just finishing our first coaching and about to join a local club here in Wales and get first gear etc. Shooting 25 pound bow still at the minute, would you recommend the Modulus or Modulus Lite? Also for the ring spacer my measurement is coming in at 73.5mm which would be a size 22 on their website, but I have read a comment suggesting to go a size lower as the ring does stretch over time, but a bit concerned this wouldn't fit at all. Any recommendations would be great, thanks!!
@ElizaArcheryАй бұрын
Have a look at the modulus instead, then you won’t have to upgrade later when you increase draw weight. If there’s a shop you can go to locally to try on the rings, that’s the best way :)

I've got this stringer too and experience absolutely no problems with stringing my 28# bow. But there's another issue, making this stringer unusable for me - soft black rubber inside the stringer's loop smudges the bow limb, leaving irremovable black residue (particularly, my 28# limbs are white).

I keep mine at 75 lbs (Iknow the manufacturer says they only go up to 70 but when mine is maxed out the tension is 75) and i get groups around 6-8 inches at 80 yards. At 20 yards this bow will robinhood all day. I have to be careful and only shoot 2 or 3 at a time or i will break an arrow. Maybe there is variability and I just got a good one?

Thanks for your explanation, I'm now not so concerned about cam lean. However, I can't for the life of me stop bare shaft nock left regardless of how much I move my arrow rest (I was able to adjust bareshaft nock up/down perfectly). Which led me to comments about cam lean, and here. Both my cams lean opposite to each other, top leans right bottom leans left, so the string is parallel. But I have floating yokes which are 'supposed' to allow the yokes to slide and let the cams balance themselves straight. Plainly there's something wrong with mine... (cheapy) I'm at the point of serving my yokes and making them independent so I can twist left and right separately. But before I do, do you have any advice for adjusting cam lean with floating yokes?

@johnsmith4933Ай бұрын
@tpep131 My first bow was a bear legit, but recently upgraded to a darton Consequence. But I'm looking at this bow for my sister. I would definitely go with the ember for a few reasons. 1. The ember is a machined riser. The legit is cast. My dad also had a legit and there we many differences between the two. 2. I think the RTS package on the ember is much better quality 3. The legit only has 75% let off so the can be "jumpy" (ember has up to 80%) 4. Bear stock strings are terrible. So, you would need to add that to the price of a legit. (+$150) 5. I haven't shot the ember but the legit backwall is very squishy. This can cause slight differences in draw length if you aren't consistent in back pressure. This can cause random highs and lows on your target. Also can just be annoying to shoot. The ember has limbstops so the backwall should be very solid. I've shot the Elite Basin that has a similar limb stop system and it was quite nice. Hope this helps

My peep no joke it spins around like 3 times. I've tried a peep tuner that just spins with it my dloop doesn't move because I'm drawing it back and I cant tighten it anymore. Its like the twists in the string come undone when I draw back. If I use a self aligning peep the runner tube wraps around the string.

What is your opinion on tower jigs? Are they useful for fletching an arrow with feathers? Is it worth getting one? I'm tempted because of the quickness of placing three feathers simultaneously.
