I consider myself a bit of a tree hugger.. now I can also consider myself a tree swinger! 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Had never heard this idea before. Very helpful. Tricky keeping it on the “tree” during a full backswing. Any suggestions ?
Just a drill don’t recommend swinging a club:)
Hey Jess Was working on this SAME concept today … great timing of your video. I’m asking how to keep head from moving in the actual swing when getting past arms in the horizontal position. I can do the actual swing as in your drill but when I go much further back my head wants to come up. I’m 64 so that explains part of my issue ;) You are a GREAT teacher and I thank you for what u do to help us hackers improve.
I struggled for a long time with this stack tilt concept until I learned this huge difference now I can actually draw the ball. Thank you.
Awesome great to hear! Share with your friends :)
Nicely done!
Thank you sir! Let me know if it helps you!
Nicely explained. I like the word “extraction”. I have always thought about “externally” rotate the trail shoulder, but the words “extract the shoulder and arm” resonate particularly well with me. Thanks Jess.
Thank you Randy!
Magic right here. Thanks for these amazing, concise lessons!!
Appreciate it sir!
Great tip, just what im working on since i'm a chronic flipper. S&T is the way to go for me. Thx!
Yes sir! Let me know if I can help I do online lessons
Thanks Jess! Gold! 👍
Thank you!
Where are you located?
Deerfield beach Florida. I also do online lessons if you’re normal
I meant local 😂
Good visual Jess. Thanks-Russ
Yes sir!
Jess, this is a Masterpiece, such great communication of the P1to P10. Thank You
I appreciate it! Thank you!
Jess, this is a Masterpiece, such great communication of the P1to P10. Thank You
Thank you sir I appreciate it :)
Just watched as a refresher. Some how it gets better each time!
Awesome Randy thank you!
Another piece in the jigsaw, this is great for the correct downswing feels , the consistency is slowly but surely increasing, thank you 🙏🏻
Yes sir!
Knee tilt towards the ball or behind it.
Hey Tyler! Depends! Standard is keeping in line with your center which is the middle of the lead shoulder. I prefer extending tilting and turning and that gives you the proper amount. But the lead knee goes towards and in as you’re swinging hope that answers:)
Jess what a brilliant lesson. That’s great about your lessons. You always come away with something Positive Thank You Stuart
You’re very welcome Stuart!
i understand the backswing, how do i get it down and around?? thanks
Arms come down bringing the club down with the weight moving forward if that helps :) I also do online lessons
Great video
Thank you!
A secret well known fact. That fits perfectly into 2024.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
that drill reminds me of a training aid club that had a sliding grip for the right hand (RH club). It now makes sense.
Yes kind of but this is a little more flexible :)
Wow! This will have everyone shanking the ball in 2 seconds.
Doesn’t appear I shank it when I hit the ball but thanks for watching :)
Yea because dropping into the slot causes shanks. Keep coming over the top hitting that banana ball bud, you’re doing great. 😂 he’s showing an absolutely perfect position…not that I think this is a good drill, just you don’t know what you’re talking about.
@@TheWedgeWizard thank you!
gonna try this today! Thanks
Awesome let me know how it goes!!
Excellent Sir!
Thank you!!
Thank you for calm approach and professionalism It’s help me a lot
@@geraldvanderwood my pleasure Gerald! Thank you for following!
What about clearing left hips? Does it happens automatically or I have to think about.
@@VimMitt it’s part of the rotation
Such an important lesson! Thanks!
You’re very welcome!!
Rediscovering S& T...made sense the first time but no online or real time tuition..makes more sense now thanks to Saguto ,Taylor and yourself.
@@davidward7650 awesome David! I do online lessons if you need more detail :)
could you comment sometime on your feelings on lie angle of irons?
Lie angle on irons is very important but have them checked on the Gears system only
I’m doing the drill daily and feel the benefits. Question for clarification: It is my understanding that P2 is shaft parallel, yet you talk about hinging the wrists with what looks like the arms parallel or P3. I’m not trying to split hairs, but I want to get the most from the drill. Thank you Jess. Still hoping to get down to see you this winter.
Sorry, just watched the video again and you did say take the club back slightly past P2.
@@randykinkade1940 yes P2 is shaft parallel to the ground on the back swing.
I’ve added banking the trail foot to the drill.
And dropping the trail foot back a little from the ball-target line.
Nice one. Love it . Barry.
Thanks Barry!
Golf master teacher Harvey Penick was a huge advocate of super slow motion practice swings.
I guess I am on the right teaching track then :)) love the great Harvey Penick!
Were you always a stack and tilt player?
Hi Robin! I was not. It was always difficult for me to stay consistent until I found stack and tilt 8 years ago
Once again Jess you give awesome advice, I tell everyone I can about you. You give hope and are good for the game. Thank's,
Thank you Rickey!
Jess I can’t thank you enough!! I’ve gone from 27 handicap to 12 in 3 months!
Wow that’s phenomenal! Would love for you to write a google review about it :))
I can't wait till the weather breaks so I can get down there.
Fabulous! Look forward to it!
Oh definitely Jess!! I struggle with everything😂😂. But I caught something today that I generally didn't. And it was the grip position.
Excellent!!
Do you do online lessons? My game is in dire need of help?
Hey Peter yes I do here is the link for the online lessons www.jessfrankgolf.com/virtual-lessons-lp/

Awesome tip!

This is very similar to what is taught at GolfTec. However, when you overexaggerate the CRAP out of conventional teaching, you lose credibility. I've taken many, many lessons over the course of 35+ years of playing golf and I've never ONCE been taught ANY of the nonsense that you're claiming in this video. NO ONE teaches turning the shoulders "flat" and doing so doesn't automatically sway your upper body 2 feet off the ball like you're claiming. Look, I'm a fan of stack and tilt, I just can't stand when someone overexaggerates other methods of teaching just to make THEIR method look superior. You can make your point without resorting to nonsense.
Thanks for your comments. I am just reporting what I see on the lesson tee every day. And if you look at national magazines they do teach this amongst other entities. I have been teaching for nearly 25 years and I see this constantly from golfers.
I just hit the ball.
Excellent!
I have been working with my wife on Stack and Tilt and she’s doing great but tends to hit a push fade any suggestions thanks
It might be in her set up sometimes the weight forward you can move your upper body to far forward but I do online lessons if you need help :) here’s the link www.jessfrankgolf.com/virtual-lessons-lp/
Thanks Jess. I'm a recent convert to this swing. Going from P3 to P8 looks like a lot of fun. I'm going to commit to playing a whole round this way
Awesome let me know!
Hello Jess. I just got back from the range and I tried this and I couldn't believe it. Hit the best drives I've ever hit in my life. A little background: I've been reluctant to dive into this method, because I've just got done putting about 4 months of committing to learning a conventional swing from a well-known instructor here on youtube. I've been diligently practicing his step-by step approach, and I've made very good progress, and I greatly appreciate all I've learned, but I'm thirsty for distance that never seems to come. I've dipped my toe into the method recently through a few Saguto videos, so when I saw this video..I understood the basics of the setup. When I tried this at the range, it was like the clouds parted and a chorus of angels sang to me "Here is that distance thou wanted!"..LOL. I blasted one that flew out to the 200 yards sign and rolled far past it. I've never even come close to that before! And these were range balls! Now, it wasn't all perfect of course. I pull hooked quite a few, but then I told myself to take it down a notch and relax and started hitting them straight again. Also what's great is there was no slice spin to be found anywhere, which I get all the time with the conventional swing. Anyways, I'm besides myself with joy and now I'm fully a convert to the method. And honestly the conventional swing stuff I've been working with is beneficial, because I have a frame of reference to compare and I find it really isn't such a drastic adjustment. You basically end up in the same positions, especially after impact. So thank you Jess, you have a new subscriber and I've signed up for your Airwayz content. looking forward to working these ideas into my swing.
Phenomenal!!!! I really appreciate the thoughtful comments!
Thanks good information
Thank You!
Jess what club do you use for that shot? Thanks

Thanks for explaining tilt better than I have ever seen it layed out
Appreciate it!
But what about coaches that preach a shift?! Weight distribution to the back leg?! Phooey. Keep it simple. Do this people. Once you have consistent strikes, then start to experiment with adding power in creative ways.
Yes sirb
If instead at address I hold my right leg straight throughout the backward movement what could be the long-term consequences? Could this prevent me from reaching full extension?
Not a bad idea
Do you favor a club for this chip shot?

Are you looking at ball in front or a spot a couple inches in front of ball? Thanks
It’s a blur but in my mind I am always hitting ball than turf :)
