    Any update? How’s it holding up?

  • @Dannyglaze
    @DannyglazeАй бұрын

    It's held up just fine . No complaints on the product... Just very disappointed and dissatisfied with the owner . I rate the roof rack a 10 but beware if you need to order spare parts or need assistance you will be on your own . I was chatting with Spyder for like 6 months, trying to purchase another rail and some hardware.. He strung me along and made multiple empty promises on sending these parts. I finally gave up . So rack is a 10 and Spyder currently holds a 1 in the ratings.

    I have many updates and mods . I'm not getting the best mpg and this is my daily driver. I run with this tent on a low profile hooke road bed rack, so with nothing else on top of the tents luggage rails it wasn't killing my mpg.. but keep in mind this thing weighs close to 200 LBS.. hopefully this helps you.

    @@javiervallecillo1791 you might want to look up east coast gear supply . They have the bushing that replaces the needle bearing, trust me that vibration will drive you insane. • @Dannyglaze
    @Dannyglaze2 ай бұрын

    Hello.. I can confirm that the 2019 Santa Fe with the 2.4 engine has a timing chain . 2 things I did to confirm this. 1st I went to the Hyundai web site for OEM parts . I put in my VIN number to confirm correct replacement parts. My VIN gave me the only option for a replacement timing chain. Also the 2nd is the timing cover . If the timing cover is plastic you'd have a timing belt, if your cover is metal or aluminum, you'd have a timing chain . Hopefully this helps you.

    You can also purchase a spark plug socket that has a rubber washer inside. It holds the spark plug nicely while hand threading. No need for a special tool, just use the socket extension. For those with the 2.0L Turbo, the gap is .032. The NGK's come pre-gapped from the factory but I would recommend checking them. Oh and sir, ALWAYS chock your tires when getting under a vehicle.

    Honestly, I was almost set on purchasing the hard-shell RTT that Rough Country makes. What really sold me on the Naturnest was the fact that I can carry additional gear on top of the luggage rack as where the rough country would have lost space. The other was a $500 price difference.

  • @Dannyglaze
    @Dannyglaze10 ай бұрын

    Start at 30 seconds into the video. This way you can see the notch I cut into the rail.. I used a grinder and notched just under a half inch. The bolts come through the top . I did have to drill two holes on the top of the rail to bring the bolts through. If you're ok with drilling the holes in your bed rack, you should have no problem installing.. I hope this explanation helps 🙏
