The “mad at myself” hit home. I went to six flags great America a few weeks ago and went to get on American eagle. An oldie fav from my childhood. Couldn’t fit and took that walk of shame. And yes, I was mad at myself for letting myself get as big as I did. I’m now nearly 20 pounds lighter and working hard to slim down so I never have to take that walk again. Fellow biggies, find that motivation and go for it, you’ll feel better and more rides will literally open up to you. We can do this, just gotta put our minds to it.

Male. 5'10" 300-320lbs 2x shirts 40-42 inch waist. I was able to fit on every single ride in the park. Many of the mid range coasters. (Anything thats not Maverick, steel vengeance, millenium force, and thrill 2) Have modified seating. Look for (red seat belts and double seatbelts as they are longer). Tester seats outside rides are accurate and always ask the attendant at the tester seat if modified seating is available and what rows they're in. Dont let the attendants at the ride put you into non modified rows and seats. Example: at the tester seat at rogarou I fit fine in the tester seat outside. When I got to the ride I told the attendant that directs you into rows I needed modified seating. He told me that he thought I would fit fine in regular. I sat down and of course didnt fit. I then proceeded to reiterate to ride attendants that I needed modified. So they had to take us off that train car. Wait for the next one to roll into station. Put us in modified. Where of course I easily fit and off to the races we went. Dont be afraid to take your time with the tester seats and try different movements and methods to see if anything works to get you to fit.... Example: Millenium Force and Top Thrill are the same seat and they are in my opinion the tightest rides in the park. If you can fit there you can fit anywhere. It's not that the lapbar is too tight its the seatbelt you have to put on before the lapbar. With zero modified seating and zero seatbelt extenders its tough. When I first sat down in the tester seat I was super dissappointed as there was a good 3 inches from fitting. But after wiggling around, straightening out the seatbelt and adjusting fat and clothes i found the way to fit. By grabbing the long side of the seatbelt with both hands, putting it under the smallest part of my waist and pulling across tightly with both hands I was able to bring it across far enough that the attendant was easily able to secure the buckle side into place. With honestly minimal discomfort to me. Of the 4 Top big coasters Maverick was the easiest at my size and dimensions. Super roomy tons of slack. Overall the attendants are helpful and if you can pull that bar down far enough the attendants will come through and do the buckles for you. If its close focus all your efforts on pulling that bar tight with both hands and let the attendant clip the buckle. They'll give you that extra push you need for the most part.

All those Arrow looping coasters have the same seats....so its very likely. But, some parks require additional restraints (it depends on state regulations). For example: Loch Ness was just the overhead pulldown but Vortex at Kings Island and Corkscrew at Cedar Point (both ohio parks) required an additional buckle connecting the shoulder harness to the seat via a between the legs buckling mechanism. Just make sure to check that out first so you're sure.

And plenty of weapons shoppes 😉 You should look it up. If I were you guys, I would plan on at least two days...or look it on the computer and plan ahead what you absolutely have to do...and then plan on returning to do the rest the next year. Lots of costumes on both the attendees and employees. I don't remember a lot of caroling but once you're in, there are a lot of music and comedy shows that are 'free'.
