hey guys, great pick from a great artist! i just got into sam rivers recently from the jazz music arhcives, I memediately became somewhat obsessed and bought just about every album. Thew whole progressive big band thing is so up my alley just wish i found it 30 years ago.

Comparing effects of fast food on your body to pop music on your brain is the biggest sophism ever. I see here a desdain of what is considered inferior. That's pure snobbery here. Show me the studies demonstrating the bad effect of pop on the brain, because I have found a ton for fast food, and none for pop music.

dude i really need to know if i should really try to transcribe songs by hear, because theres solos like im trying to learn how to play just friends by bird but like theres just so many notes i feel like i cant trancribe that, should i bang my head anyways. this is a genuine question i dont think im that good of a player im straight up a beginner still, pls help me out with advices
