    I see others for a little over $500, sold to accompany digital scopes. Besides surviving being mounted on 50BMG rifles I don't know what would make these better vs cheaper options.

    @@wut6113 good question. That RH25 for 4k is super attractive no doubt. But the sidekick I think is going around 2K so I’d say the general thesis of my video still remains… but dang, that’s an excellent price on both!

    Awesome to see a video of this! PARD and Sytong seem to be similar brands, the difference being Guide Sensmart offer cheaper prices while the other two have integrated laser range finder options. The Guide Sensmart laser range finder you can buy is $700 and says it's effective up to 600 yards so is questionable, even though using it for hunting still viable. Meanwhile I'm either waiting to buy in November or December or to wait for next year to see if anyone is going to make a cheaper version of iRay's 1024 resolution camera, or I forget if it's 1280, I think it's 1280. Refresh rate of 30hz which might as well be unusable.

  • @saintsinningsword
    @saintsinningsword4 күн бұрын

    @@longrangeprecisionshooters8935 Only embargo I heard of was speculation, L3Harris is the leading US distributor of night vision and thermal cameras and scopes for the military as well as law enforcement in the states, they would push for an embargo which would give them a monopoly if they could. I thought iRay would be protected too since they give boutique prices as well despite being chinese made. Don't know if real or not until prices jump or stock disappears from stores. I wish I could buy US made optics like Trijicon's thermals if the prices weren't so oppressive. That and LRF models even more expensive. 384 resolution thermals over $3k is a crime.

    HAH, I have a converted Specwar 762 as well. I've had that can for 11+ years lol. It currently sits on a PAP M92 SBR I built years back with a VZ58 side folder. That gun is heavy and so is that can so they are perfect for each other. It's a novelty at best so none of that matters but it's cool to know that there are others out there still repurposing quality old cans and still running them to this day. I have a HUB converted AAC SDN-6 as well that I've had for 13 years now, it was my very first can I ever purchased. I just built a new elk and mule deer rifle for this upcoming season and it's in .308, so it's safe to say that I am fan after all of these years and it still puts in work and gets it done.
