  I always feel pushed to rush the 10.5 cm field gun when playing Germans for this exact reason. Defense mortars are such a nightmare on maps with lots of terrain obstacles.

  Yeah I move to carts and trucks later for better efficiency. Have to balance the RP investment early on, though.

  I agree, but I only speak English and not German/Russian so I may just not notice the others. I'm also not sure how much of that is added by the Voice Extension mod as I've had it enabled for so long now..

  My tactic to surviving cev2+challenge maps is to beat my skull against the wall until the wall cracks. Been working pretty well so far.

  Very curious to see how you deal with the faster tick time for enemy points. It's really been fucking with me and even caused me to use the Configurator to edit values and basically cheat. Even when you rush the first cap they get points so fast now since newest updates to the mod. I even asked Cookie on the workshop page and he said it's as intended.

  It's tough for sure. I had to adapt my playstyle and unit comps a lot. Imo, the beginning is actually the hardest. Once the AI gets 3+ flags and you get some better units + offmap it becomes easier

  It sounds like you're mumbling a bit compared to the game audio in these early episodes but its still good stuff and incredibly insightful for someone new to CEv2 How do you manage to keep track of your squads when your splitting and regrouping them on the fly? I try to keep MG/AT gunners in groups with their assistants so they share ammo but once you start drag clicking and moving groups its easy to lose track of who is where. Setting squads 1-9 at the start helps with that but every time I fiddle with my squads like that I end up wasting 3 mins or so and end up losing the initiative

  Yeah not microing your AT guns is not a good idea. AI sucks with AT guns and if you want to win you have to destroy every tank yourself, at least in earlier stages

  Awful map. I don't know why devs thought that putting a snow slope every 5 meters, that blocks all emplacement was a good idea. But yeah not using those research points to get a better AT gun or lee or miners was a mistake. Anti tank units should be researched early so that you never fall behind

  fallschirmjäger are great in vanilla but not really worth it in CEv2. In my german conquest i used the spanish blue division squads, better stats than regular rifle squad and not crazy expensive like late game squads.

  I agree with your opinion about using expensive infantry... They're more of a luxury in CE. Blau squads are really good for the price, yeah. Wanted to give something new a try this time since we had it mostly wrapped up!

  Brutal defense. Some tips no one asked for😇: You can kill allied AT gun and mortar gun crews to get their guns. Those 2 allied pak43 would have helped Engineering trucks are dirt cheap and have 60 at and 120 ap mines and if you get 2 of them they resupply each other mines and you can get extra ~40 at mines I personally ammolock every at gun and tank. HMGs and infantry should deal with infantry If you end up getting pak43s you will have to scout for them otherwise their range superiority will be wasted

  Not using off map support really doomed you. You could have easily cleared the closest point with planes\off map arty
