I just got mine in black really cool chair and yes, packaged very well ……little extra detail when putting the metal base on the bottom of the chair …..note they send extra black washers so you can shim it in the front a little more to give the chair a little more kickback. I only put one washer on all around in the beginning and it didn’t have the right fit when sitting in it. I added two additional washer underneath to the front spreader bars not the rears ….two extra on each side, this gave the chair a little more kickback to the rear basically shimming it which resulted with a perfect feel especially when using the Ottoman

Is there a 9 ply version? I recall somewhere once had a 9 ply eames replica that was built even better than the original. Do you guys also carry versions the blue, yellow, or red leather variants?

Thicker doesn't necessarily mean better. The key highlight of this chair is its aesthetic design, and it requires the wooden shell to be thin. That's why it has only 7 layers; having 9 layers is not possible. If the shell is too thick, the chair would be heavy, and the metal components of the chair wouldn't be able to handle it.
hi - what is difference bwt standard and the tall version? i'm 5'11 so prob could go with either one so why would someone choose the taller one if my height? thanks!

Hello, strictly speaking, the regular size is only suitable for people under 5 feet 7 inches tall, so I recommend you choose the taller version. Many customers have provided feedback after purchase and made the same choice.

As per typical of ALL OF THESE "ASSEMBLY OF EAMES CHAIR" videos ....no actual close-ups that could help identify the process (had to watch THREE separate videos, two of them twice, one I watched THREE TIMES) just to see WHICH screws (and washers!) go where....jeeesh. If the seller had simply included A SINGLE SHEET OF INSTRUCTIONS, I would have zero complaints.....BUT THEY DID NOT !!! And wth is with the "speeded up video" ? Slow the hell down, plainly SHOW US which screw/washer you are about to use, and running your finger aroud the armrest DOESN'T MEAN DIDDLY-SQUAT in terms of knowing front/back, left/right !! Lame ass video, lame ass content. I do hope that the chair itself and it construction is not as half-assed....we shall see, before I order the other 3 that I was going to for my man-cave/cigar room. Time will tell whether this is legitimately a good buy. Kinda sad that after watching the videos, I now have some trepidation. Wish me luck, please.

What are the differences between this and CKTY330? Looks like this is taller than the standard size while CKTY330 is both taller and wider?

The height of CKTY330 is the same as this one, but 330 is slightly wider. However, the veneer on 330 is single-sided without shelves and removable cushions. The veneer and cushions are connected with Velcro. The leather on 330 does not have a distressed finish, while the leather on this chair has a distressed finish. This chair is the highest configuration, with double-sided veneer and includes steel clips and removable cushions.

1.The first item placed in the box is a footstool, with the wooden shell of the footstool facing downwards. There is also a layer of protective padding underneath the footstool. 2.Then the second item is the chair backrest, and all the white foam around it must be placed inside the box to protect the chair from transportation collisions.Wooden shell facing upwards. 3.Add another thick foam sheet on top. 4.Place the chair armrest on top of the foam sheet. 5.Finally, place the seat of the chair inside the box.Wooden shell facing downwards. 6.Insert the four L-shaped cardboard corner protectors into the cardboard box.
