Bought one of these recently after watching these videos. Works like a champ. We have a slight uphill to the inlet and it was PIA to deal with. Only thing to note the self cleaning is limited as both tanks come via a T and I can only backspray up to the T and not directly back into the tank for flushing. However the black has a built in sprayer system anyway so not a concern for us.

May I suggest a diet that is higher in fiber? Perhaps two bowls of Raisin Bran per day? Walmart sells the "Great Value" brand with EXTRA RAISINS! p.s. I did notice a few corn kernals floating around in your mixture there.

Some videos say to adjust while the water is on in the rv and some say to have faucets off. I trust you, so what is your procedure?

How do you keep the water/sewage from the hose fitting from shooting up the sewer connection fitting? Is there a cap? I have a black water grinder and don't like leaving the hose hanging in the sewer pipe.

What is the black and gray piece that is separate from the rest? It is pictured in the product images but never referenced in the instructions. Where's does it go?

I wish you showed us which way to + or - increases flow and which way decreases it. I'm guessing if we turn the screw to the plus direction we increase the flow. Thanks

This is the first time I have been able to find anything about a remote cable operator. Mine disappears into the under-body of the trailer. I am unable to locate the valves. I would have to remove all my gas lines and a large panel from below the trailer (I fear) to access the valves. Currently the valve is open, which is okay since I am semi-permanently attached. But I can't close the valve. Do you or anybody else have information on how these valves are mounted when hidden like this? Just how much of my trailer must I destroy to find them?

I like how you explain everything so this is an idiot-proof system. Well done, I just need to find a retailer in Canada to get one.

We have 2 of these and love them. However, after a freeze one guage reads 20 psi and the other reads 60 psi when not in use. Can this be fixed?

Looks like a great product. Question, though... When you're back-flushing your tank, what's to keep the black tank from filling up and overflowing into the RV?

That was my thought/question straight away. It's a shame they haven't replied in 9 months. Looks like a good product…if only we could get a response…ValterraLLC, can you help us?

    water meter on your hose

I know your comment is 6 years old… but to answer the question, you put a water meter on your hose, like a “save a drop” meter. That way you don’t accidentally overfill it

I have a septic tank flushout about 50' from my RV tank dup spot when I am home. How would I use it to pump that far? I saw something about using 1" PVC. How would that work?

I have been using it for the past four years going from our RV to a 1" PVC pipe about 75 feet to our septic tank. I did keep a slope to the pipe so that the sludge will not back up and added a p-trap to stop any gases

I did this by putting together about 7 each 10" sections of 1"PVC. As my angle to my sewer clean-out is downhill slightly it works without fault. I store the sections under my back porch. Have had mine 4 years as well. Contractors are remodeling my home bathroom now so living in the Arctic Fox 29-5 5th wheel for the duration. This works perfectly for me now. Also great instead of waiting in long lines to dump after a weekend in a campground with just water and electric at the site. AND the ride home helps to break up the solids in the black tank making it even easier for the SEWER SOLUTION !

I like the spot-glue option for the sunscreen - looks like it would be much easier to install, handle and store for as a one-person job.

Does this product allow you to push wastewater up a grade? Our clearway is uphill from our RV.
