  I live in Denmark. Raccoon dogs are considered a pest in many european countries, just like raccoons as they are considered an ivasive species.

  Ah, makes sense I guess for the larger - heavier bullets. It explodes on grapes but that is 223. (Barnes video)

  I'm curious as to why the round exploded the first cantaloupe but not the 2nd cantaloupe. Bullet failure?

  I would imagine it has something to do with the texture of the cantaloupe. It might be a tad bit softer than what is needed for the bullet to expand/function. Same goes when shooting raccoon dogs and badgers, unless bone is hit, the round goes straight through. However, deer size targets causes the projectile to function each time. I'm certain it has something to do with the density of the target.
