    I hear what he is saying, and I agree with God having governments abide by his law, but do you tell another officer he is being unlawful when you clearly see that they are and go by the God-giving law to be upheld or by a blue line policy. I only say this because you can't be a hypocrite when serving God. We should right the wrong always not just because of some made-up code. No one wants to hear the words of Jesus saying I NEVER YOU on that day of judgment.

    My department doesn't have resources like that. It would be crazy expensive and would probably come back to bite me at work.

    The key is finding the right therapist. Some of them have NO business being therapists and are so screwed up themselves and unable to really help anyone.

    Amen to all you said, Aram. However, I worked out my entire career and still got physically broken. The smart move is to stay in shape and get off the streets through promotions. Retiring as an active patrol officer takes a toll on the body.

    Nice test but being police officers you should know the law to use the radio you need an FCC license and transmit your call sign when you begin and every 15 minutes there after an FCC law

  • @911Strong
    @911Strong2 ай бұрын

    Thanks for your concern, but as police officers are very protective of our personal information being out there. And if you have an FCC license you can look up your information by call sign. So that’s why you don’t hear it.

    @@911Strong OK I understand but the reason I said anything is because I've seen a lot of these kind of video's where people make these videos and forget to mention about needing a license and thank you for being heros and your wives being heroins and saving lives.

    It's funny he didn't really answer the question. We are angry because we are underpaid, understaffed, constantly told that we suck, or worse, by people who call us for help. 90 percent of our calls are from the worst human beings on the planet who couldn't wipe their own butt if they had to. Our faith in humanity is at an all time low and someone calling 911 because their child won't get out of bed for school sends us over the edge. We enjoy about 10 percent of our 12 hour shift which include REAL emergencies where we get to help someone who truly needs it, and the few breaks we are lucky enough to get.

    My father was a deputy for 27 years. He and my mom were high school sweethearts and were married at 18 years old. From the time they started dating dad told mom he was going into law enforcement. She was okay with it. He joined the Los Angeles Sheriff Dept in 1960 at 21 years old, I was just a little over 2 years old. My dad worked a lot of holidays, but you know what, we were used to doing things a little different. We kids always got taken out of school to go to the zoo, amusement parks, etc because those were dad's 'weekend' days. The only politics my dad avoided were the department type. Other than that he always spoke his mind in public. And yes, dad was hyper vigilant all the time! But we were used to it. Dad always worked the graveyard shift and there were days we didn't see him because he would sleep at the station on days he had to be in court. We lost dad in Jan 2019, my parents would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary in Feb 2019. My oldest son followed both his grandpas, one was a WW2 Army vet and one was an LEO....my son served in the US Army for 14 years, 11 as an MP. He wanted to honor both his grandpas. My dad was a big man, but he was also a big teddy bear. And oh the stories we heard from former partners after he passed. He was a man of Pride, Integrity, Guts.

    I'd rather retire from weekend graveyard patrol than "kiss the ring" to get promoted. The hypervigilance doesn't go away if you 're a cop worth his salt on the streets. That is why we die young. The body can only take so much constant stress. Great points, Aram.

    I was assigned to the Robbery Squad as a detective in November 1974. I wore the required coat & tie, carried my issued Colt Detective Special revolver, six spare rounds, cuffs & a blackjack. While backing up a uniform officer I became engaged in a gunfight w/three armed robbery suspects, emptied my gun twice and ended the fight w/a blackjack. Lesson learned, carry enough ammo for the fight that may be coming your way.

    Having watched you during your career and watching you develop yourself into the man you are today, I couldn't be happier that you promoted to Sergeant Tactical Churro. When you first came to the SWAT team, I had my serious doubts about your maturity and abilities, but I left my career knowing that you had developed into a solid member of the team with great decision making abilities. Proud to call you Brother! I'm also glad you made Lieutenant Aram. Well done! The department is in good hands. But I'm still hoping you'll find those lost HK mags . . . 🤣😂

    want to congratulate you on your hard work in completing the academy. You have completed a task that most can’t. I have never doubted you in completing the academy and I know you will be an amazing cop. With that in mind, I just wanted to take some time to give you some advice that I believe will enable you to be the best and have a long and successful career. Advice that I have acquired during my almost 30 years as a cop. A lot of this you probably already know. I believe it takes a special person to do the job we do. You are a hero in your own right and will be called to do the unthinkable and perform deeds that few will ever understand, appreciate, or even be able to perform themselves. This is your day to shine. Do not tarnish what you have accomplished by losing sight of who you are when you put on that uniform and badge. You have chosen a mission in public safety. Do not take the tasks inherent in this noble and distinguished undertaking lightly. You will be exposed to things no human should ever have to see and endure. You will be there in times of need to others. Most only desire a few precious moment of your time and a listening ear. Always be respectful to people and treat everyone with compassion and sympathy regardless of who they are, what they look like, and where they are from. Just as you would want to be treated. Respect the law and the rights of others. Always remember to do what’s right even when no one is looking. Never overlook or take for granted your own family in the equation of what it is that you do in the line of duty. Your family and fellow officers will be one of your greatest assets. They will be there through the best and the worst of times. Have passion for what you do and the people you serve and always strive to make a positive difference. Trust takes a long time to build but only seconds to destroy. Your integrity is something nobody can take from you. Be and look professional. There is never a need to belittle anyone for any reason. Take time to explain your actions and decisions to people around you. Even if they disagree with you, they will appreciate that you took time to treat them with respect. Be in control of yourself, and people will follow your lead. Do not get caught up in the emotional hype or drama of a situation because it will cloud your judgment. People call 911 because they are unable to control a problem, and they expect you to be confident, calm, and in control of yourself. Don’t let anyone dictate the type of Deputy you are or will be. Don’t think you have to be a hero. You have already obtained that title by wanting to do this job in the first place. Take care of yourself and your partners and never let your guard down even for a second. Train like your life depends on it, because it does. Be proud of what you do and who you are.

    Thank you for posting! I’m in the hiring process for a bailiff position with my local municipal court, have never worked a suit and tie assignment before, coming from the jail, and also have not received much guidance on how to carry everything. We have to buy all our own gear, I’m currently running a Glock 19 with a Streamlight, and the ASP cuffs. The other stuff you mentioned was super helpful, as soon as I get the offer letter I’m going to start shopping.

    Most people think like her. It's why most people act like mental patients evem though there's nothing wrong with their brain. They think that their eyes tell them all they need to know about a situation. It's why perfectly functional people are ALWAYS wrong.

    What I don't understand is since the police department is in dire need of police officers because in certain states like California where police officers are leaving in a rapid pace they require so much standard which I understand is to protect and serve but not to be a tool bag about it you know. In my opinion that people act like pricks in law enforcement You're going to be so outnumbered because so many police officers are leaving in a rapid pace that you will wish you weren't giving these new recruits a hard time.

    Those plastic keys are there to lock the built-in latches so they can't be opened WITHOUT the key. As you showed, turning the knobs 1/4 turn clockwise locks the latches but anyone can turn them back and open the case. If you use the key and turn the center another 1/4 turn clockwise, noone will be able to undo the latches without using the key. You have to first turn the key 1/4 counter-clockwise before you can turn the knobs and open the latches.

    Hey you might wanna check out Tactically suited. Those guys custom make suits specifically for law enforcement, executive protection staff, and private security. Their suits are meant to help carry everything you need to do your job. But my gear is pretty much the same when I'm wearing a suit (one of the aforementioned tactically suited suits) but I carry a couple extra things. I carry a Sig P365 X Macro 2 spare mags in a custom made shoulder holster, a small baton like that ASP you have, small flashlight, I have the ASP Ultra pluss hinge style cuffs instead of the chain cuffs you have though. And a small can of OC. Spray. Also carry the most important things like my pen and paper and my phone.
