No problem with that, except you disable the Discrete Graphic Card, it would make some problem. But the power use between integrated gpu and dedicated gpu is different, dedicated gpu use power more than integrated gpu because dedicated gpu can handle for intens graphic

This modern processors are complete $hyt! My ancient I3's and I5's are 12 years old and still working greatly. But my new I5 and I7 stuck with simple tasks, not to mention the overheating, which by the way, the stock fan that comes with with them are simple garbage. And now you have to buy an "OK processor", and you still need to buy a real cooling system on the side. NVIDIA seems to go at the same direction.

The 'cool' part is a big deal. I had a Asus zephyrus gaming laptop, and before that an x360 spectre, one with a Geforce 3060 and one with Intel G7 (Iris) graphics, and doing any kind of 3D work on them, you could boil an egg on the laptop itself, and forget about battery life. It'll be a nice future when laptops won't get this hot, even when doing heavy 3D operations.

honestly its just a waste of time and money. sure it will be faster but to upgrade to DDR5 i would need to upgrade my mobo and find one compatible with my current processor. im sure im gonna have to replace the motherboard at some point but for now its still running strong and i dont see why i would switch from 3k+ MHZ 32gb -> 4k+ MHZ 16-32gb.

I'm guessing it's an i5 and not R5. And it's a 7th gen CPU if I'm not wrong. The combination will throttle the GPU since the CPU is of an older generation. You should probably look around for a computer with a 10th generation CPU and upwards, with the sweet spot being 12th generation.
