    I think you can be neutral on a topic as long as it means you are taking time to research a nuanced topic, eventually developing an opinion. I think taking a stance on an issue too quickly can lead to a misinformed opinion.

    I think what you are describing in this video is not neutrality, but "fence sitting“. Fence sitting means never standing for anything and never rooting your ideas in reality, because when you do that you open yourself up for cirtisim. If you stand for nothing, nobody can critque you, because there is nothing to critque. Being neutural is the active decision to not choose a side, because you believe that both are equally right or wrong. I belive, that in this case being neutral is a respectable standpoint, because you still open yourself up to criticism.

  • @AleksaRupic-2209
    @AleksaRupic-220922 күн бұрын

    Hey I get where you're coming from but that's not what neutrality is. That's just a third opinion of thinking both sides are wrong. Neutrality is a concept to gain moral highground and look better in front of others.

    im only halfway through this video, but its already a great video. I feel like the system has subliminally mind f*cked alot of people into being neutral in order to avoid offending anybody .......... being neutral turns people into spineless cowards that refuse to have an opinion. and your right, it stops people from committing. ive done alot of wrong moves in life and had alot of strife in friendships and relationships because I speak my mind, I try to have an opinion even if it goes against the majority, if I think something needs saying, no matter how painful it is or if it means putting my own neck on the line, il say it. it gets me in trouble ALOT!!!! because the system has brainwashed everybody into never wanting to offend anybody. which means people tolerate anything.

    I can relate. My opinion has gotten me into trouble countless times. I come from a town that is small minded so everything you do and try, you get looks for it. Content creations is still not normalised completely. That's why I made this channel, to voice it. Nowadays everybody is scared of cancel culture and it's consequences and at the end of the day the only thing I have is my view of things. Me and you, we're not going to be those who hold back all their life, we're going to let them have it. Of course, with some class.

    @@AleksaRupic-2209 well I very much appreciated this video, it helped me put into words something I have felt many times in my life and been very frustrated that I couldn't quite put my finger on why these behaviours in people make me angry or I didn't have the words to describe how they made me feel ....... and yes, ive had to learn over the years not to be so explosive and to have more diplomacy and not to be so blunt. Im a very direct and blunt speaker by nature because I hate manipulations and I hate untruths and beating around the bush and sugar coating, so im very direct and blunt ..... I appreciate this because I like people to talk to me like this because im very bad at taking hints, I like to be just told with no bs exactly what they mean, so this is how I am with people ...... turns out many people dont like it, they want to be talked to like children, they want me to be talked to "nicely" and things to be sugar coated and me to talk in a sensitive way that doesn't hurt their feelings, lmao!!!!!! ......... people are so weird haha ..... I used to be a real people person ..... people ruined it for me, hahaha ..... im gone subscribe to you anyway, I have a feeling I may gain some other deep insights from your musings too :)

    There is an element of wisdom to know when to "get involved" and "fight" in my opinion - but when morality & conscience decrees that a certain topic / clash is important, neutrality is not the most beneficial stance to take for society as a whole, ultimately. Staying silent and disengaged has led to great atrocities, both on personal and collective levels.

    La seule contreverse que je vois dans ta vidéo c'est l'utilisation de la suisse et son drapeau combiner a ton titre de vidéo qui laissent penser que ton message initial est que la suisse se comporte mal. Le reste me semble juste logique je suis plutot d'accord avec le discours en général ne pas donner son avis c'est laisser la situation stagner et la frustration s'accumuler jusqu'à explosion. Mais c'est valable seulement pour les relations basique d'humains a humain. Les relations entres pays et états la neutralité et généralement bénéfique.

    Hey Dam. The alrogrithms are very unforgiving when you are a small creator starting out. I used Switzerland as a means to signal neutrality and get your attention so tou can give me a chance and watch the video. A lot of thumbnails on videos of neutrality use Switzerland, so I figured it's good to catch peoples attention. That means that the thumbnail has done it's job and you've discovered me! This video in fact has nothing to do with Switzerland, even tho they are somewhat neutral. I'm glad you gave me a chance and the flag wasn't put there maliciously.

    It's a difficult topic. Being is ratty is def bad, but what I learnt from living on this rock is that people want you to commit when it suits them. If a ratty snake is demanding your stance while they've been ratty snakes their entire existence, i think you have a card blance to send them away. But conflict avoidance is extremely bad for the civil society. We do let a lot of shit slide. I totally agree with physicality determining how vocal you are around people. After I fix my back, I will MT or MMA gym. Although the odds of fighting someone is low, it always good to know that you can take a hit IMO. If you don't get hit, you might become delusional and either become fearless or overly fearful because you would anticipate pain to be extremely bad when it actually might not be so.

    Let's gooo man! I'm all for you training MMA, BJJ and MT. I'm happy for your decision, keep me posted because I also have a back injury. For physicality it really depends on where you live, if you live in a testosterone overload country like I do, the chance is much higher. Society is moving towards less physical conflict that's for sure, but you for sure need to know how to bang it out, at least where I'm from, people test you regularly.

    @Marcus-gw4bb I feel like most people are neutral and passive, while a few ultra loud minorities on both sides make either side seem extreme. Most leftists aren't SJWs (despite what right wing media will tell you) and most right wingers aren't Nazis (despite what leftist media will tell you). This passiveness of the majority, IMO, is what allows extremism to thrive. Take a stand for what you believe in, nobody believes in "neutrality" or "sitting on the fence".
