Amazing. What these people are capable of, doing with such limited technology, and only a few lines of code. Kudos!

I really can’t believe all this is possible. But it doesn’t matter-it’s amazing and involving art. Hope kids can appreciate the value of working within limitations and making something mind-blowing, where every pixel or note counts and is part of the message.

Still magical, even if made with the help of modern computers. Just knowing we still haven't reached the limits of the C64 makes me want to go back in time.

These kind of demos are.. well... rather meh for a specific reason: What I always wonder is, would this have been possible in 1984? And the answer is, no! Theae visuals were mostly precomputed on machines a million times faster than the C64.

Good demos of the time often were converted into games that run on lowest common denominator (no REU) and also at 160x200 resolution. Not this fuzzy stuff. Precompute could happen on C64 over night (one night for each sequence) short and lowres. And Jack Tramiel would say: “Where color?l

What impress me is a lot of these demo files were normally very small but they pack in so much visuals. An ran very smoothly on a lot of low end hardware.

It needs a name, everywhere this demo is posted there's someone who complains about the music. I think it's utterly brilliant, never heard anything like it. The rest of the demo is freaky and bizarre and a work of art

Had this been created in the 1980s then my younger self would've been utterly blown away. Would this even have been possible back then without modern hardware to assist in the tool / asset / artwork creation, not to mention the decades of demo coding challenges that inspired this.
