Sigvart Dagsland

Sigvart Dagsland

Sigvart Dagsland is one of Norway's most beloved singer-songwriters, and for a good reason - his voice will most likely give you goosebumps! Born in Stavanger back in '63, Sigvart's been making music since the early '80s, and he's released a ton of albums in both Norwegian and English.

Sigvart puts his heart and soul into every performance. And with all the awards he's won over the years (including a Norwegian Grammy), it's safe to say that his fans appreciate his voice, storytelling, and songs. Overall, Sigvart Dagsland is a Norwegian icon, and he's still going strong today - currently on his anniversary tour.

Here is the translation. Here is a fairly simple song to you Wherever in the world you are I'm sitting here somewhere And now found a kind of peace I have absolutely no idea who you are Or what my song can lead to But that you also feel that way Tie these fragile ties Hear my voice Find your solace And if you dares, if you dare Know that it is you who do it Hear your voice in me So accept this simple song for you Wherever in the world you are You are sitting there somewhere And may you now find peace

Thank you so much 👍👏 : Exactly ZEE entry I was hoping to find coming here ! INGER LISE HOPE only sang one song in her native tongue (if the 19 min vid of her journey I just saw can be believed, although they didn't include her winner's song...) . Ergo/thus/logically, I desperately wanted to understand it, her, him, them. Cheers again for taking the time, @sabyegrp.💓&☮, JB 20240610

Maybe this is close: I wandered around on my own without purpose or meaning Mercilessly searching for what could soothe a longing Days and years of endless trial and error And an eternal dream of finding a peaceful harbor To become whole Finally whole Feeling the stillness enveloping me Into a place Where a kind of peace Can fill the soul and mind You sailed into my life and I don't know where from You came, you saw, you conquered, and you got me going Towards sunny days that lasted and lasted and lasted And I wondered if it was you who was meant to make me whole To become whole Finally whole Feeling the stillness draw me in Into a calm Where being together Can fill the soul and mind Time passed and you left me I stood here empty-handed once again Realizing little by little That you didn't want me The road is steep Towards becoming whole The city dark and empty But the faltering steps I took with you Were the closest I came

Fantastisk tekst, fantastisk melodi!

Here’s a rough translation I made: I wander around by myself without aim or meaning A relentless search for that which would diminish a longing Days and years of endless trial and error, and an eternal dream of finding a quiet harbour To become whole Finally whole I feel the silence bringing me in Into a place Where a kind of peace can fill soul and mind You came sailing into my life and I didn't know where from You came and you saw and you won, and you had me sliding towards sunny days that went on and on and on, and I wondered if it was you I needed to stay To become whole, finally whole I feel the silence bringing me in Into tranquillity Where to become two Can fill soul and mind Time passed and you left me I stood here empty-handed again By not wanting me It sunk in little by little The road is steep towards becoming whole, when the city is dark and empty of people But the groped steps I walked with you was the closest I came.

This is a translation that hopefully will make more sense than google translate, i tried explaining some of the symbols. I wandered around by myself without a goal or no purpose. Relentless pursuit is not what would dampen the feelings of losing someone (had to extend this to make it make sense) Days and years of endless trial and error and ones infinite dream of finding their safe harbor (safe place, or like their home) To be whole, Finally whole Feel the silence collecting me Into a place Where some sort of peace Can fill my soul and mind. You came sailing into my life and i do not where you came from. You came, you saw, and you won, you made me glide (would mean, got him in gear, or made him start going, started doing something) against sunfilled days that lasted and lasted and lasted i wondered to myself, was it you that came to stay. To be whole, Finally whole Feel the silence collecting me Into a place Where some sort of peace Can fill my soul and mind. Time went by and you left me I was left back emptyhanded Because you did not want me it sunk in, a little by little The road is steep against becoming whole ( i would say: the way to be whole again is hard and unlikely) the city is dark and empty of people but, the fumbling steps i took with you was the closest i came. The song describes a relationship that has enden which made the writer feel almost whole, and later describes it as, even though it was a rough time with fumbling steps, it was the closest he ever felt to being whole.

Verden vil bedras og bedras hver dag av MSM eller "main stream media". Hvor norske media er dypt involvert. Andre kjente navn. CNN. Washington post. New York Times. MSNBC. BBC Al Jaseera. Osv, osv.
