I cannot stress enough how important those angled needle-nosed plyers are in this. The two plastic bolts holding up the wire is nearly impossible to break or push in with long straight needle-nosed plyers. Save yourself the 20 minutes and buy a $7 pair from harbor freight.

this was by far the best of the videos that I watched on this topic However, the replacement assembly i purchased on Amazon the lamp holes were too small for my OEM harness lights. I ended up having to replaced the harness as well. The tip about the long needle nose pliers was key at freeing up the harness. I did not feed the plug through the center hole but rather just used the hole i pulled the plug through and it fit fine without the hassle of have having to loop the cable in and out. thanks very much

Hey Dereck, from what I know you either have the small yh-1715 OR the bigger one shown in the video. There are other videos showing the small skinny one. Just opening the glove compartment would easily show which resistor you have.

i watched this video and a few others and was able to change my fuel filter -- thank you carlos. i'm a girl without much muscle and no mechanic training and i was able to do this, so i want to encourage other women to give it a try and save some money. i thought changing the fuel filter was much easier than changing the oil filter on my 2005 f-150 FX4 (certainly faster & easier to access). i used the FG-1114 motorcraft filter. i didn't have to bleed the fuel line, i just let my truck sit until the engine was cold and took off the gas cap like a few people suggested and had only about 120 mL (which is half a cup for those who don't do metric) of gas flow out under very low pressure. definitely worthwhile to do on my own. thank you for the video.

Thanks Tommie Mc for encouraging us ladies to tackle the things that we think we might have the muscle for--lol. I wanted to do this and keep everything as dry as possible. This tip on the gas cap and the engine cold is a big help. My truck is 06 F150 5.4 Triton. It runs fine and good gas mileage but was changing oxygen sensors and could smell gas around this filter. Nothing wet...just wondered if the o-rings on the fuel filter lines need changing sometimes?? Can someone possibly advise in that regard? This is a great video. Really good camera work. Nice explanations and good point on the different size filters. Jesus bless.
