Was so proud to he a part of this! (Wish I'd realised you were filming tho 😅🙈) And so sad to hear the news today. My heart goes out to all the staff who are left in limbo. Everything crossed for a last minute reprieve 🤞🏼
pheasant attack no peacock attack yes
Great easy to watch, soothing almost. No-one will care however anyone that likes a sharp edge will!.....your knife skills caught my eye never allowing the cutting edge to make contact with any of the metal, excellent!
What size pressure cooker is it re the base and capacity, (is it a 28cm base)?
Hi, I'm afraid I can't measure it at the moment but I just checked my original order and it is the 8 litre Hotel model, hope that helps!
It’s a big help Quentin, as they only seem to do the Hotel range with a 28cm base. Have you found the 8L capacity more than adequate for pretty much everything? I’m definitely going to try making this stock.
@@jacqs45 Hi, the 8l pressure cooker shown I've found to be more than adequate for anything I've used it for. In the end, it's designed for catering use so can deal with most things.
@@PedalBikerUK Thank you so much.
I flew this bird for 16 years….loved it…. Still have happy dreams about it👨✈️
Amazing! Hopefully you have some videos of your own to upload?? What a beautiful aircraft.
The manual clearly says to oil it otherwise it will make noise and break. I can't believe how many people have left reviews of it saying it made a creaking noise and then broke. Yes, that's because you haven't done what it says in the manual! Do these people honestly expect it to just work without being oiled now and then? It's probably been sitting on the shelf for months not moving before being used and using it in that state is like driving a car without oil. The quote from the manual: "Lubricate moving parts with light oil periodically to prevent premature wear".
The problem with your “suggestion” is that it was like this from new and lubrication made no difference whatsoever. It’s a pile of garbage.
Hi! I'm a researcher from BBC Studios. We'd love to use your video in a popular TV programme aired on BBC1. The programme promotes the North East of England as a beautiful tourist destination and your video does a great job of this. If this sounds of interest, it would be great to discuss further via email. Many Thanks Danica
Hello Danica, happy to discuss this. If you would like to give me an email address I will contact you.
Did you add the cooked marrow to the stock?
No, I ate it with a sprinkle of salt 😋
Thanks for the video and comments great help
How easy is it to find work up there?
Can this cooler be used in canning? I recently found one in a second hand store here, had no idea how valuable until I just searched it. Was hoping to use it to can. Any help appreciated. No manual was with it, but the extra plate and an extra gasket were there.
The only video where I see the pressure cooker usage explained clearly. Thank you!
thank you, good video
Am glad I watched this , changed ma mind
Is that chapel lands?
Where was Troy?
So.... How'd it go
Thank you..lovely
Stunning scenery & roads I've ridden for many years.
I'm so jealous lol this looks amazing
Quentin, thank you a very helpful video. A couple of questions. 1.With the tallow can you do a follow up showing how you store ( freeze??) until you need it for the roast potatoes - and from experience how much do you need for a decent sized roasting tray - enough say for 4 people. 2. If you are making Chicken stock - would you use a whole chicken - then use the meat for a curry - as an example - or would you use chicken thighs or wings? Thanks. Russell
Doesn't leading a group ride feel like driving a long slow truck?
So much soul and grit and style 👍
Good to see a lot of riders that raced in the first Drummond trophy 1956 norrie Drummond
Well that’s the only mini break I’m gonna get this year so it’s back to business today 😤😤😤
This is fantastic! Thank you.
Glad you like it!
And if you want to knock the socks off your dinner guests, use this broth to make beef gravy with roast beef, or steak ... and wait for the question --- wow, where did you buy this meat ...?
I really enjoyed watching this video
Glad you enjoyed it, I was there quite recently again, brought back many memories.
That was great Quentin - I live near Embleton and that covered many of my training rides - I even knew when the potholes were coming up!
I heard they'll endlessly chase you
Nice recipe but never give cooked bone to a bog, it can pierce their digestive system as bone gets brittle and sharp when cooked.
"I'm a dinosaur. Rrawr!"
That sounds awful, it sounds like metal fatigue. Sounds like somethings about to snap
Great video. What size was the pot - looks like 12qt. It's been a few years - how is the pot holding up. Do you have any regrets? Thanks.
Excellent video! One question: Have you ever tried to make the bone broth without the Oxo cubes, and just substituting a bit of additional salt? I prefer a lower sodium level in the cooking I do. Also, it is nice to see a video focusing on a stovetop pressure cooker, as opposed to the now ubiquitous "e-Pressure Cookers" like the Instant Pot. I've just recently purchased a Presto stovetop pressure cooker, just used it for the second time. I'm just experimenting and learning, but so far my results have been quite good.
Thank you for your comments. I see no problem with substituting OXO with anything that takes your fancy, I'm sure it will be just as good and definitely just as nutritious which is what matters. I like stove-top pressure cookers, I can't be bothered with all this modern nonsense in things that don't need it. My Swiss pressure cooker will last many many decades, these modern things will be in a landfill probably within 5 years. I like solid, metal, high-quality analogue things which will last. I've just typed a letter on an 80 year old manual typewriter which still works perfectly. The lifespan of an iPhone, 3-5 years? Less maybe?
@@PedalBikerUK I absolutely concur about the superior qualities of "analogue" devices. Admittedly, I purchased my pressure cooker as an "impulse item." I've always wanted to try one, and as it was roughly half the price of a similarly-sized Instant Pot, I thought it was a bargain. I believe that in the long run, it will be much more reliable and easier to care for. My house has a relatively small "galley-style" kitchen, so I don't have a lot of counter space for storing electrical appliances.
@@TheYodoc Rest assured it will outlast anything electrical with minimal care and attention and even if you decide to part with it at some point you may well get a good price for it and at least being metal it can be almost 100% recycled. I see the modern world with it's latest gadgets speeding along and I'm speeding in the opposite direction. I've managed really well so far without having to operate the fridge, kettle, blinds, fan, curtains, vacuum and God only knows what else without needing a smartphone app to do it, and that suits me just fine, just too much hassle and too much to go wrong. If you haven't already got one get yourself a stove top Moka pot to make your coffee. Totally reliable, last a lifetime and coffee is lovely. Analogue is the way forward, or is it backward? :-)
Blimey ... that’s annoying
WD40 the job
Love it
I knew Wes Clayton as a time-triallist in the '70s and rode a 50km TTT with him and his brother Dennis

Btw it is beautiful even then .
This is what the instruction in my manual says : Flat Course - use 2lbs† Press-On Force Up to 2.5% Grade - use 2.5 lbs† Press-On Force Up to 5.0% Grade - Use 3.0 lbs† of Press-On Force Up to 7.5% Grade - Use 3.5 lbs† of Press-On Force Up to 10.0% Grade - Use 4.0 lbs† of Press-On Force Up to 12.5% Grade - Use 4.5 lbs† of Press-On Force Up to 15.0% Grade - Use 4.99 lbs† of Press-On Force* †Plus/minus .20 lbs acceptable. *5.0 lbs exceeds the maximum value you can save.
Thank you what a piece of treasure.
Ditch the bikes and make it a fell running race.
Hi Quentin, did you say that one needs to calibrate everytime you using this? Over a week , if you rode everyday, thats 7x calibration?
That is correct Ron, A CompuTrainer has to be calibrated every time it is used, that way you get a very high degree of accuracy and consistency, well worth it.
Beautiful - thanks for sharing.......brought back memories of my old great aunt who departed 1997 age 96.....it would be wonderful to go back and see the house as it is now and all its changes.
It looks very much unchanged from the outside with it being a listed building but very different inside. I know this from the estate agent photographs when it was sold a few years ago.
No helmets? And nobody died? Man, how did that work?
Dope road indeed! Just integrated your video in an article on the roadstotravel website: www.roadstotravel.net/spain-sa-calobra/ !
What an amazing place . Missing it right now
Absolutely beautiful going back there at end of july
I never knew you could use the fat, that's sounds delicious. Do you use it for other things besides potatoes? And how long does it last in the refrigerator? Or do you freeze it? Thank you.
Freezes well, can be used in the same way as many other fats.
