This is my workshop. Some of the videos here are for my students, some of it supports my research and the rest of it is probably about my kids. Enjoy.

    I came here after watching the video "Teaching in an age of information abundance" trying to get a better idea of if I should get your book haha I'm still not sure yet but I only get 1 book per year so it's not like it's not interesting

    Can we get some more Oscar content and an update on his french fluency? The video from 2011 was so adorable and I can't help but wonder where he is now.

    That closing line was great! “if we can make community the curriculum, then membership is how we scale.” Very applicable to my current course!

    The Earth is cooler with the atmos/GHGs/albedo not warmer. To perform as advertised the GHGs require “extra” energy upwelling from the surface radiating as a black body. (kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yn6dzNlwXbytXbg.html) The kinetic heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmos molecules render that scenario impossible. No greenhouse effect, no GHG warming, no man/CO2 driven climate change or Gorebal warming. Version 1.0 050322

    How did you set it up to watch progress as students work on it and set up the slides in the breakout rooms?

  • @davecormier
    @davecormier2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Sue. The slides aren't 'in' the breakout room. They're just google slides. I just posted a link to a separate set of slides and then watched those slides

  • @davecormier
    @davecormier2 жыл бұрын

    @@suemuloin8195 Google slides work that way by default. Try it out. create a google slide deck. Change the share settings to 'anyone with the link can edit' and share it with a colleague. As they type, you will be able to see it. People can work in them simultaneously

    Simple, yet incredibly useful. I loved the breakout room instructions. I've used something similar with my younger students, but I usually have them working on Jamboard. For some reason, it never occurred to me that I can do the same with Slides for my university and adult students. Thanks, David! Love your videos!
