I think the reaction to 9th round has been inflated. What I saw: Usyk was never hurt in 9th round. It was Usyk's version of "Rope-A-Dope"; Usyk brilliantly lured & tired out pretending to be trapped on the ropes while AJ expended his last bit of energy on punches that were mostly blocked. It was clearly a Rope-A-Dope strategy, after the 9th round, Usyk didn't appear hurt & overly concerned. AJ success has been exaggerated to save his career & ego. However little remains .

Not a bad analysis of that round, but it could be seen either way, did he try to lure him or was he exposed. Your completely right in saying they exaggerate things for AJ but I don’t think anything can save him now. Thanks for watching 🥊

Arent they 4oz not 6oz gloves in ufc?

They actually range from 4 to 6 however from the lightweights and heavier they are around 6oz. I said 6 because I spoke about the welterweights and middleweights bouts. Official gloves are heavier because of the leather they use and obviously depending on size, that’s why women gloves are 4oz. But thanks for asking the question 🥊

man you are right it was the holy trinity. Watching Platinum Mike comeback and keep moving forward against MVP was awesome (he called a round 6 win like a week ago in an interview and MVP laughed him off), then to see USYK start hot then drop that 9th round when AJ started to get hot and then stop AJs surge and finish strong, and finally watching Luke go out like a warrior against costa and then Leon shock the world in the last minute. I think Usyk is the only person atm with any chance of beating Fury, and even then I still don't think he will. It would almost certainly be an entertaining fight though!

That's the difference between him and Fury: Tyson went from being a big swinger to studying his opponent's weaknesses. AJ tries to do that, but becomes swayed from the plan.

Izzy will win, by doing the same thing he did with Cannonier. Another non-eventful fight where Izzy, for the second straight time, keeps his distance and does just enough to win. He's not really going to get in there because he knows he'll get slept.
