Nice... Revit went in 5-7 years from basically nothing for modeling rebar to almost complete software for rebar detailing.... Keep this trend and please focus on Steel modeling and detaling :D ...

Their analytical modeling approach became worse. They removed a feature that was working pretty much ok, and introduced "Analytical automation" which is always has many mistakes and it takes longer to correct them than just doing it yourself.

@@MilePartikov Well I work in Robot Structural Analysis, it's easier to model the analytical model than in Robot, as Robot's users interface is much less comfortable. Are you using a different program than robot for analysis?

Still can't: - Renumber views efficiently - Transfer one specific view template from another project (can only transfer all of them) - Create filters for tags - Create filters for text notes - Trim spline curves - Convert detail or model lines to area boundaries - Crop drafting views Additionally, modeling railings is still needlessly complicated. Want to change the material on the rail itself? Sure you can do that directly in the type properties. Want to change the material on the baluster? - Open Baluster Placement to note what baluster family you're currently using - exit out of two windows - search for baluster family in project browser - duplicate the family - change the material - find the railing type you had to exit out of before - open type properties (again) - open baluster placement (again) - find new baluster family Want to change the baluster from 2"x2" to 1"x1"? - repeat the process.

Revit, as a modeling tool for custom 3D objects (couch, chair, other entourage), is in a stone age. While it is possible to model intricate 3D objects in a free software, even web-based ones, like OnShape, Revit didn't change it's approach since V.1: extrusion, blend, revolve, sweep, sweep blend... that's all Revit got? - sad, borderline pathetic. Am I missing something?

1. Way too freaking expensive for learners. We should have options. We should own a license or the program. Not everyone is a millionaire or an owner of a rich firm. Consider new learner license. These are for learning and private use purposes. Male the program accessible to everyone. 2. The program is amazing but is way too stiff for free form parametric modeling. Would be great if there could be direct collaborations with Unreal engine and Rhinoceros Grasshopper to a deeper level. 3. The GUI, Lord, it needs to be intuitive and customizable for advanced users. There should be working templates for projects as an example. A typology type for a house, warehouse, office building, mixed use and so on. Examples and presentations help new users. The GUI needs to be like the one in Rhinoceros. 4. Help and instruction options are always needed. Publish a book on drafting about Revit. Revit is a 3D parametric family generator. If this is taught this way, people could understand BIM easily. There
