Hey everyone, it's the Bramante Brothers here, Zac & Joe. We live completely off grid in The Last Frontier of southcentral Alaska with our wives, Alyssa (Zac's wife) and Bonnie (Joe's wife) as well as with some very cute kids and a few dogs. This channel is for people who want a glimpse into a family's life in Alaska, to see our ups and downs, joys and sorrows as we experience off grid living.

I really like that idea, it looks great! What kind of wood and protective coating did you use?
It is spruce, but you could use any rough cut 1x lumber. I used a product by Flood called CWF. It should be available at Home Depot.
@@BRAMANTEBROTHERS thank you very much!!!
I work in building and renovation and live walking these boots have seen hell for 4 years and they are still good to me
That's incredible! I have done that line of work, and you ain't liying, it is hard on boots.
I do so miss fireweed.
It is beautiful. It has come on nice this year. 👌🏼
You guys have the most beautiful scenery while mowing 😊
I agree. Makes it not feel like a job.
You have such a short growing season, thank you for sharing with us🌸🌸🌹
It is crazy short!
Looks cozy 😊
They are pretty cozy. 😊
Looks so inviting, thanks for showing us!👌
You are welcome 😊
Excellent video 💚⛰️🙂 with stunning views 🔥 'Awesome' is not much to describe the beauty and work you put into production of this videoclip. 👏🎥
Well, thank you 😊 We hope to continue and improve and give you all great content.
That was cool
Thanks 😊
Cool drone footage of the plane.
Thank you. Zac was getting real good with the drone....just before he sank it.
@@BRAMANTEBROTHERS oh no, I saw a video and someone covered their wet drone with rice for a couple days and it worked after that.
We would definitely try that, but we would have to dive for it. It is at the bottom of the lake at a depth of about 40-50 feet.
@@BRAMANTEBROTHERS thats a bummer
I’m caught up!!! Now to keep it that way! Beautiful as usual!
Good job! It will be easy through the summer, as the frequency of our posting goes down.
Family & Faith are the cornerstones to everything!
Agreed. Thanks for watching 😊
Keep the hoodie! Gotta love a good worn in piece of clothing! Great work as always.
Thanks 😊 Zac can fly a kite...I love that hoodie 😁
Yay!! Running water!
It makes a big difference.
The opening drone shots with Denali (& friends) was amazing with those clouds! Must have been a front the way it kinda looked. It’s always great when you get the spring running!!! The room looks awesome!
I’ve never been able to get the finger/thumb to work on phones on other gloves. It’s great to hear these do! PS, I’m also loving your jacket!
These gloves seem really well made. Thanks 😊 It's an Outdoor Reserch light weight jacket.
I always love seeing you guys in shorts, t-shirts, etc in the snow.
It starts to get kinda warm in April. 😓😆
Beautiful new sled! I do love those how you use your older stuff until you just don’t have choice! The kids are as adorable as usual! And, of course, the scenery is amazing!
Trying to be as resourceful as can be. And sometimes, we just don't have another choice but to stick with what we have.
I miss this!
It's hard not too. Even when we go on vacation, we miss it.
So beautiful out there. Thanks for sharing 😊
Sure thing! It is a special place.
Hope you are having a great season 😊.
Thank you! So far, so good.
How fun!!! All of it!
I’m so glad your to the stage that companies are coming to you! The vest looks awesome.
It is a nice feeling.
Beautiful furniture. Bummer about the broken snow mobiles.
Stuff breaks. Sometimes I can fix it, sometimes I can't.
Nice of Mountain Mariner to give you those. He’s the only other one I watch , I’ve been away from KZread for a while. I need to get back into watching it again. I’d love to have snow & a big hill like that to take our grandkids on!
Edmond is alright 👍🏻 It's a pretty great sledding hill.
We haven’t camped since the year we moved into our log house. You’re making me want to go camping again! Some of those layers were gorgeous. The purple/yellow ones.
Everything looks awesome!
Thanks 😊 It feels so good to be getting it all done.
Could you use a saw for the ice? I bet you’re glad to be working on your cabin! It’s going to be awesome! It’s awesome that it’s so sunny & clear, those shots of Denali are absolutely stunning.
I have tried a hand saw, a chainsaw and an ice saw. All have their pros and cons. Thanks 😊
Beautiful work! I'm going to do the same, but I was told to leave a gap between the tyvek and your siding, be putting drain able strapping. Please let me know. Thank you!
Hmm.🤔 I did not do that, and I have not had any problems.
BRRRRR! As always, beautiful & awesome scenery & shots. I agree, wind is horrible.
They look great! Nice treads!
Bummer about the truck. I’ve only tried a sip of kombucha before, it wasn’t horrible. 😅 I know it’s supposed to be really good for you.
It was a bummer set back for sure. Our kombucha has gotten better with age, and we all love it.
I have never been to NO, so thanks for the tour & food reviews. It awesome you were all there together.
It’s awesome, for the most part, you have all the tools & knowledge you need to fix just about anything.
So, when we were in Alaska in 2022, I picked up some Alaska Sourdough dry starter (I think the company is Alaska Frontier Sourdough). My first attempt at it. My friend told me I had to name it to make it more personal & not neglect it. So, my sourdough starters name is Bready Bramante because Bonnie’s article (years ago), your KZread, FB, & Instagram are what helped me fall in love with the state as deeply as I am. The 13 day trip (cruise & land) just cemented it.
Oh! We need some of those black wedges! Looks better than what we use.
Gotta admit watching all these snowy scenes is kinda refreshing during our 80°s & 90°s here in Pennsylvania. I may be onto something!
There ya go! Kinda like cold immersion therapy. Just come up with a catchy name like "heat relief mental therapy" and it will sell itself. 😄
Beautiful scenery & the sun setting at the very end looked like a fire burning! Beautiful!
Winter can be absolutely gorgeous out here.
We need to get a generator, guess we won’t get this one.
I am SOOOOO far behind, again. But I’m going to try to catch up now!
You can do it! When I was younger, I never thought people would binge watch our home videos. 😉😆
Off grid means using power that isnt supplied by the grid Shitting in a hole is a different subject I went off grid in 1997. The power line is about a mile away.
You're sooooooo right 😏 we could have titled it "remote living solutions" but the algorithm likes "off-grid" more. 👏 👏 👏 🦸♂️
@@BRAMANTEBROTHERS unfortunately. That phrase is worn out.
Yes, and we are tired of using it, but unfortunately it still ranks high in analytics and search results.
@@BRAMANTEBROTHERSoff grid, side grid, over the top grid, whatever man. I was looking for a vid like this. Keep doin what ya doin cause most appreciate it
Our stay at Caribou Lodge was the highlight of our Alaska vacation last summer. I want to go back!!
One of the most beautiful places I have visited in Alaska.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! I would LOVE to live up there!! Let me know of you need an Aircraft Mechanic!! LOL.. Much respect and support from Yuma, AZ.
Loved it!
Nice🇺🇲 Happy Independence Day to you all!
Thank you. 🇺🇸😊
To much talking
Thanks for the review. I think I like them! Wondering if the heat is on the inside (palm) or the top side? Top side would be ideal for when gripping handle bars and battling wind chill. Also, does the heating elements go into each finger or just mainly the palm area?
The heat is on the top side and yes, it does go down each individual finger.
