  It's my favorite work of fiction of all time. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean nobody else can. It also makes perfect sense, the show just tells its story in a non-linear fashion.

  I binged this anime with a friend and we both couldn't understand the hype. Our favorite parts were the scientific explanations given by a narrator at random moments. That and the alien in the doorway. Everything else was just painful and pointless.

  I remember when this anime came out back in the time where the internet was still something new in many countries and this type of feeling or sentiment of eery dark void was still present in society with regard to technology. Nowadays we embrace technology but still fear its dark potential with AI and automation.

  I love todays anime. But after Ergo Proxy, Stand Alone Complex, Akira, Evangelion, Armitage III and some old animes with deep crazy existencialist sh*t... i only ask myself, WE NEED MORE OF THIS! Like yeah, animes for chill and have fun are good and a love it but sometimes i want something that make my mind go nuts to understand what a series try to tell. The last one of this type was ID: Invaded and men, that was good. Pd: Sorry for my poor english haha
