You know, until I went there I agree. I think Monaco isn’t for tv and the race itself isn’t that interesting, however the atmosphere and sound echoing around the city and then the parties after mean it will just never go. Qualifying as well in Monaco is great.

Tbh Perez could have avoided it if he didn’t turn ever so slightly to the right he could have kept straight and missed it. Don’t know how he couldn’t see that Kevin had no where to go to the right, i know Perez was ahead but he could have avoided it. Could have also avoided it if he was actually any good this season and didn’t qualify p18.

@@ChunkMunkz your clueless lmao. For starters all three of them were driving up towards Beau Rivage which isn’t a straight, so they all were required to turn. Secondly kevin is already one incident away from a race ban due to dangerous driving. Kevin shouldn’t have tried it in the first place, he was in no position to overtake and if you had even the slightest bit of common sense you would know that even if they had come together by the time they got to massenet they would have all come together at the top of the hill. Finally that red bull really struggled around Monaco for both drivers

@@ChunkMunkz extremely poor race craft from Kevin and it really shows in Hulkenberg’s radio chat considering he was calling it ‘completely unnecessary’ before all three cars had even stopped. We can sit and argue all day but when his teammate and the driver with the best view of the incident is still calling him stupid after I think that’s enough evidence to suggest Kevin was at fault.

Well frankly the position where he realistically should have qualified was between the Haas cars as well. He underperformed AND the Haas cars were disqualified from qualification, making them end up together again. Had both of these things not happened, the collision could have been the same.

This is why they are so much faster. Old cars wasted energy on producing sound, but todays cars convert that all to movement of the wheels. The efficiency of the turbo-hybrid engines is insane.

Nice capture, the crash is not as bad as it looks from looking at just the damage (which is a good thing ofc). The cars are systemically fragile to take energy and damage away from the driver.
