    Totally understand, I have lost count on how many cars I have owned in my 70 years, some cars are put together right, and some don't, it all depends on manufacturing standards. Let's face it in the US an employee makes 70-100 bucks an hour for turning a nut to proper torque, that's why we pay up the arse for a car that is not worth 1/2 of what is sold for. The Mustang is one of those, cars used to be affordable, my first Mustang a 1965, then a 1966, then a 67 then a Mach 1, etc...etc... were cars that just about anyone could afford, I paid 3,499.00 bucks for my fist car and the average price tag hovered around 3-4K for a brand new car with factory Air conditioner, imagine that! Those were the days. But here is the thing, manufacturers now a days want to make cars overnight, (even though they are not selling) at today's prices who can afford a car? Unless you want another mortgage in your life. I own several cars, one of them is a 2020 EcoBoost, it's been good to me, no issues so far, but I drive like an old man. Mustangs have not changed that much since they came out. They still carry some of the same issues today that they had in the past. My 65 had a 289 in it and I had to do work on the frame (front part) to reduce the twisting during acceleration. I had to modify a few things with the suspension too, it would bottom out in some situations where you would hit a normal bump on the road. Other than that it gave me a few years of good service. As you get older you start feeling the bumps on your body, Mustangs have been bumpy like forever, specially with low profile tires and if the suspension is lowered, then it becomes a rib cracker, depending on what kinds of roads your state has. Here in my city roads are very bumpy, I mean very bumpy. In TN roads are kept in superb conditions, you would fall asleep driving in most roads there! I live there for 17 years while in the military, and I kind of miss them roads. TX in some areas roads are pure crap. The exhaust, I guess if you like loud and drone noise, put an aftermarket system, but is all you are going to get, a 4 cylinder engine sound, I had a cat back race with an inline resonator, cherry bomb type and it did helped with that deeper sound and it reduced in-cabin drone sound but the wife said it has to go, so used it for 3 days and took it off, now is sitting in the shed packed up and ready to sell, check Facebook marketplace in El Paso area, or Craiglist serious inquiries please. I can ship it to you, at your expense it is the popular MBRP Cat-Back Exhaust System Race 3" Black Series Without Active Exhaust Mustang EcoBoost Fastback 2015-2023 it sounds pretty good. I'll let it go for 650 bucks (800 invested) and it has a resonator inline after the cat, it enhances the sound with a deeper tone and lowers the in cabin drone. I can't use it, at my age is just a little noisy to have a conversation while cruising. Just my 1 cent, cuzz I owe the other cent to the IRS!

    You can run your cobb ots tunes just fine trust me. I've been running stage 2 91octane for about a year now and nothing has gone wrong and I definitely push this car. Just use the right stage your car needs. Each stage you are required more and more mods. Rn I am fbo. Trust me cobb has been in business a while and are professionals, your car will be fine as long as you have your mods associated with the stage you run.

    Catch can is useful on MANY cars. NA included. Mercedes M156 for example where oil collects in the intake plenum. Here it is because it is direct injected. The fact it is turbo has nothing to do with it. I agree with the sentiment in many of the posts.

    I just bought my 17 ecoboost 4 months ago. Blown engine.. my warranty just got me a brand new engine with zero miles that costed 10k.. but how new can it be when a car with 44k miles ends up with a blown engine.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    This mod will definitely work and give you a cool sound. The only thing to be aware of is, the MAP sensor has measured all of the air that enters into the turbo. When you open the throttle, the computer will think a larger amount of air is in the system and increase fuel, which will cause a rich condition for a short amount of time. This can cause a hesitation or a spurt of dark smoke from the tailpipe. Make sure that you aren’t experiencing this.

    Thus is Tony . My ecoboost 2017 Mustang is running great . This is the best car I ever owned. No problems. Lots of pick up and go . Sport plus mode with the paddal shifters is lots of fun . Gas mileage is great . On the highway 80mph cruise control normal mode 36.8 mpg In the city 24 mpg. The car is stock for now .I will add mode little at time. I get a lot of compliments. On the car . I show the car at cars and coffee. I have a detailing aircraft cleaning business. And I detailed my Mustang ceramic coating . And detail the engine and ceramic coated all the painted surfaces under the hood . You can eat off the engine. Perfect clean . 75,000 miles on the car . Looks new. The car is all yellow. Looks like glass. Have a great dayt

    Why stop at 750hp when could just swap in even stronger engine and go even higher numbers. It is not like you still have original block of Ecoboost Mustang, so at this point it doesn't really matter what block you use as it is has no longer original engine block either way.

  • @JRLL81_
    @JRLL81_2 ай бұрын

    If you gonna swap the engine in an ecoboost mustang you might as well get the v8. It's not about tryna make the most power and be fsster. It's about making power with what you got.

    Disconnects power going to the fuel pump. Next step, start your engine. The engine will run for a second, then sputter to a stop. That empties the fuel rail of pressure. It's now safe to disconnect the sensor without spraying fuel all over the place.

    If the exhaust was mounted differently. It changes the tone and harmonics of the engine. Hence why this car sounds like a fart tuba. Glad the platform is finally getting the respect it deserves.
