Yeah the one called "Microsoft Flight Simulator" is the Microsoft Flight sim (msfs) 2020 the community calls it msfs 2020 cause all the previous one where called Microsoft Flight sim 'xx' ie Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (fs2004 or FS9) and thus MSFS 2020 makes it easy to search for add-ons and liveries. TL;DR MSFS 2020 = the newest Microsoft Flight sim (as of 2024)

Hi what animation did you asign for refuelimg boom? I tried r_spoiler_key but it opened me boom with spilers on wings then I tried fix spoilers on wings or reasing them to door_2, door_0 or everything else but my model of KC135 was damege spoilers opening with moving aircraft or other parts was removed from the plane. I tried parking brakr, landing lights but I cant see them in multiplayer. Can you help me?

It sounds like you did it right, but you did not clear the model cache so MSFS was displaying a broken model and making you think you messed up. For imported aircraft, MSFS generates several files that help it interpret the mdl format. If you change animations, they can disagree with these internal files and MSFS displays the aircraft incorrectly. Try again with the wing spoilers on door_2 and make sure you delete the KC135 CVT folder in Community and also go to these folders and delete the KC135 folder after you make a change to the mdl, then load the game: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\$PC$\MSFS\COMMUNITY AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\$PC$\SIMOBJECTS\AIRPLANES

How did you sort out the nose gear problem? I converted the B-1 but the nose gear is locked in the down position after they've been retracted. The version I converted was the FSX version by virtavia.

MSFS doesn't like have double wheels for some reason, you have to edit flight_model.cfg to remove one of the nosewheel contact points then it will retract

These were FSX imports in the early days of the game. There is certainly a similar repaint for the SC Designs F-16 now that it is out

It's just an animation glitch, they are always shown horizontal to other players. Pretty disappointing

Very nice video, I've seen your other stuff before, have you guys ever thought about possibly posting the already imported FSX free-ware jets that work? I did see that you had stated that it's not really worth it nowadays, but I've tried for the life of me to get some but could never get the FSX importer to work properly even with multiple tutorials and hours spent, even with planes that were supposed to work. I've been trying to find things like the B1 Bomber, F16, B1 Lancer, etc. although I know some that are in these videos are pay-ware that I listed. Still, very cool video, love seeing you guys upload.

Honestly we would really love to, it just comes down to not having permission to distribute the source files, most of which are still payware as you said. It's frustrating to have put all that work in and not be able to share them but it's just not worth the potential headaches :( Thanks for following us though, hopefully you can join in some time!

Right now you have to import it from the FSX files, but there is a freeware A330 tanker on Flightsim.to and there is a freeware KC-10 in development

It doesn't refuel you, you just fly in formation with the boom and pretend. You can use the menu to increase your fuel if you want. The tanker in the video is a KC-135 but they are all pretty similar

Pretty sure the B-24 is from Flight Replicas. It converted pretty well except the flight model is broken now unfortunately. I definitely don't suggest buying it just to convert it though! Too many limitations
