    Fascinating how you show the relationship between these Houses. If I wanted to look too far into it, I'd say Eve is creating Adam-on-steroids from *her* rib.

    Hi!!! I can see you are taking a bit of a break from videos and I hope you are doing well! You are beautiful and cool. ❤ I have an idea for a video or a suggestion! With regards to terrain, i would love to hear your higher level take on what makes a board fun. So many people are scratch building cool monstrosities or posting crazy IG stuff but as a new player I have no idea if any of that is viable or worth the effort. What kind of features make a board very fun to play? Should all catwalks connect or perhaps making dead ends? Should the board be balanced or more campaign-y and privilege certain things as per the desired concept? What makes a board REALLY fun and interesting and full of exciting or unexpected interactions? Thanks 💕

    Would be cool to have an addition to this terrain piece like a couple big “flakweave wind blockers” just like big vertical tarps that prevent some wind and environmental damage hahaha and maybe like a lighthouse up top to signal travellers and traders haha awesome piece tho 🔥👌🏽

    Thanks so much for this video, I wanted to ask, my game group meets every week and we are 4 people total. Is there a way to play the campaign and all the scenarios with 4 people? Maybe 2 teams of 2 players?

  • @crimson_oracle
    @crimson_oracleАй бұрын

    Definitely, you can modify scenarios for more than 2 players pretty easily, and if it’s 2v2 you can even still have stuff like binary win conditions that don’t work when it’s 3 or 4 vs all

    Thank you for this. Ive been putting hours into Fallout 4 lately and making my own head canon. Yeah, the dialogue options aren't great, but that's fine because I'm telling my own story to myself. I still think characters like Piper and Nick are some of the best in the series. I hate the Brotherhood and was sad to see "Prydwen" painted on the side of the airship in the show because I distinctly remember blowing it. But you're right, it doesn't matter because I can just enjoy the story I'm creating.

    Exactly! This is why I’m really looking forward to messing around with wasteland warfare and the RPG by Modiphius, telling my own stories is more fun than playing someone else’s anyway, and the world can be whatever I want it to be

  • @acerock013

    i have never enjoyed playing Fallout games, the first isometric ones i liked, but the newer ones i always found them janky and frustrating to set up and play on my old PC's. but i always loved the world and univserse with all its quirks. and i loved the show. i loved how it dealt with stimpacks and how a stimpack can just basically fix any internal injuries. that had me laughing out loud. but all in all the shows great. loads of fun and a well told story. i think getting hung up on the lore though is a trap all fandoms fall into. are there lore changes in the show? sure. does the show tell a good story? absolutely. i think when it comes to adapting something for a show or film, the first consideration has to be telling a good story and fititng that within the universe and its lore is important, but the primary consideration has to be to tell a good story with nuance, depth and commentary. if we get too bogged down in whether or not the lore is being adhered to, we limit where something like Fallout can go. i think Fallout is right up there with TLOU and Dune as excellent adaptations of the source material.

  • @crimson_oracle
    @crimson_oracle3 ай бұрын

    Agreed, the show really nailed telling a good story, and I gotta say my biggest sadness with it is we only got like one episode with Ma June and Barv, I would watch the hell out of a series of shorts that are just various wasteland characters walking into their shop asking for stuff ala clerks

    Sorry Mate but Todd Howard already address the dates issue over on IGN. SPOILERS: First of all he did say the show is cannon and does line up with the rest of the lore. He said the time line on the chalk board is being read incorrectly by people. The fall of Shady Sands and the Nuking of it occur at different dates. He indicates that the Fall is a different event and hints that it will be explored later on. Presumably in the next season. He specifically says that the Nuking of Shady sands takes place after the events of New Vegas. The arrow after The Fall of Shady Sands is intended to indicate the passage of time with the next event being the Nuke several years later. It would seem (this is my speculation) they where not ready to reveal the exact date Shady Sands was nuked. He also indicates that the NCR is not gone and the show is depicting just a small part of the NCR. They wanted to keep the story contained to this area and maintain that information is hard to pass over long distances. So the NCR still exists in some capacity, they simply haven't explored these narratives yet.

    Sure, and we knew the show was canon from the start, I’m more talking about the fact that canon just isn’t very important vs the choices you personally make while playing, which actually define the outcome of your game, regardless of whether it matches what officially happened at the end of that chapter

    Welcome to games workshop. I see that you've bought into the idea that we would actually support the hobby that we've been hyping non-stop for the last year so I've come to the conclusion that you must be new here. Let me show you around. We've got the mordheim table next to the bfg table, epic and warmaster fans sit over in that corner- What? Play games?! Oh no no no. They don't get to play, they get to wait and hope that we throw them a few scraps, but we aren't going to. If they really wanted to play then they would've bought a 10th ed starter set like we've been hyping non-stop for the last year or so.

    They will just cause a living rule book to be created by the community. But if you want to play in a gw tournament... This rule book could very quickly fix many problems with these games. i.e. Lack of concision and gotcha: these things may speak to certain dishosest players so they can stick with gw. We other players could play a better game for less money (books ive bought and thrown out, augh). A game that responds to the community and not shareholders. Streamlining for the sake of the game, not just, to drive profits. Can you imagine?

  • @crimson_oracle

    I'm so glad my regular playing group is made up of 6 good friends and we couldn't really care less about the GW shenanigans. I've known them for years and played DnD with them before starting my tabletop journey. 3 of 'em are brothers who started with the LotR tabletop game and then transitioned over into Warhammer Fantasy 2 or 3 years before that was scrapped and reforged into Age of Sigmar. We usually play a 1v1v1 and had to adjust and homebrew new rules and battleplans to accomodate for that quite a lot, so someone familiar with AoS would probably not recognize it at first, lmao. I realized I really liked the painting aspect of prepping encounters for my DnD table so I dipped my toes into AoS with them pretty much exactly 2 years ago now. However, I couldn't justify the prices of official models. I decided to pull the trigger on a resin printer I had been eyeing for a bit and honestly, it was the best decision ever. I can print entire armies for a fraction of the cost of official models. Sure, even I, who has printed about 6k points of Sylvaneth and roughly 4k points of Blades of Khorne, which is my main army at the moment can acknowledge GW is the king of sculpts. It's only happened a few times where I preferred a sculpt designed for printing over the actual model. Well, except for old armies like Skaven or the Beasts of Chaos (rip, I was planning to make them my first army in 4th...) But even if you don't fuck with proxying entire amies, it's been an invaluable tool to improve my basing with printable bits or even entire sculpted bases. On the 40k side of the hobby, the grass is even greener with custom heads and weapons for every faction you could imagine. 3d printing is perhaps not *THE* future of this hobby but it's definitely *A* future of it and I hope GW will realize that soon.

    Your take on the effects of a company going public on a stock market are very interesting. It does show that companies that focus 100% on making as much money as possible will be forced to do things that are stupid for their profit long term due to how the shareholders will expect short term gains.
