  The US just drags dialysis patients along. Multiple better ESRD therapies are on the verge of being able to help people on dialysis get off dialysis, but as long as the top 2 or 3 companies are in the back pocket of lawmakers. Hemo will not advance for us.

En dokters lieten hem stoppen met sommige medicatie s. Ik als papa wil donor worden naar hem. Heb je een raad mss voor ons ?

  Dankjewel, bram heeft eind 2022 mijn nier gekregen en na een lange herstel periode is die gaan werken. In de winter is die vanwege afweer medicatie vaak ziek, maar nu sinds een paar weken volop naar school en buiten spelen eindelijk ❤

  Dialysis has been around for more than half a century! Why have we not found something better after all this time?? There should be plenty of financial incentives to come up with something better. Is it really that hard of a problem, or are government red tapes slowing everything down?

  Inderdaad, dat is heel vervelend. Het project gaat dat beter uitzoeken. Het resultaat moet zijn dat het duidelijker wordt wat de plaats van kalium in de behandeling moet zijn, zodat de behandeling en het dieet-advies verder kunnen worden verbeterd,

  DaVita will fight this , dialysis is BIG money for them , and the artificial kidney will stop their money train , it’s strange that 10 million was an issue for the kidney project … billions is spent on defense , why not declare war on CKD instead of drugs , at least the war against CKD is winnable

  Since 2002 in the USA, I have read media news announcing the "prompt" release of the artificial kidney. After two decades, it is still "work in progress". Science and technology exists to support its development, but funding research has been restricted by powerful lobbies supported by economic interest groups (just in the USA is a $28 billion medicare annual expenditure for dialysis...). Found that doctors, hospitals and the AKF receive perks and benefits to continue with dialysis and transplant as only treatments for ESKD..... The development of an artificial kidney has the potential to impact various companies that are involved in the kidney disease treatment industry, including: DIALYSIS COMPANIES that provide dialysis services, such as DaVita, Fresenius Medical Care, and U.S. Renal Care, may be impacted by the introduction of an artificial kidney that can fully replace kidney function. The artificial kidney could potentially reduce the need for frequent dialysis treatments, which may impact the demand for their services. PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES that produce drugs used to treat kidney disease or its complications may be impacted by the introduction of an artificial kidney that can eliminate or reduce the need for these medications. This includes companies such as Amgen, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca. MEDICAL DEVICE COMPANIES that produce medical devices used in the treatment of kidney disease, such as Baxter International, B. Braun Melsungen AG, and NxStage Medical, may be impacted by the development of an artificial kidney that can replace or supplement their existing products. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: Initiatives that are developing or researching artificial kidneys, such as the Dutch Kidney Foundation's Kidney Mondial consortium, the Kidney Project, and Qidni Labs, may benefit from the increased focus and funding on the development of this technology. Overall, the specific companies that will be impacted by the artificial kidney will depend on factors such as the cost, efficacy, and adoption of the technology. However, it is clear that the introduction of an artificial kidney has the potential to disrupt the kidney disease treatment industry and impact various companies operating in this space. IN 2020 ALMOST $85 BILLION WERE SPENT BY MEDICARE IN CKD. OTHER HEALTH THREATS (Aids, Covid..) WERE SOLVED MUCH FASTER THAN THE ARTIFICIAL KIDNEY. WE NEED TO CREATE A POWERFUL GROUP THAT CAN FACE AND DISRUPT THE TRADITIONAL CKD TREATMENT INDUSTRY!!

  Slaat nergens op dat in Nederland eerst moet je dialyse doen dan kom je op wachtlijst...patiënten zijn geen nummer maar een mens ...het wordt eerder naar graaf geholpen dan naar nieuw leven...ongelofelijk onmenselijk
