I love it! I omega up at Dion’s fried chicken at the Mobil in Florida city before the venture into ENP. Hands down the best fried chicken…. And it’s also makes for the best breakfast for the cruise into coot bay

I've never met this man but I have a wish for his future. When the day finally comes that only God will decide. I wish for Flip to wake in a place where he is able to forever cast to Tailing Fish. I want him to have the ability to close his tired eyes and to simply think of his ideal place. When upon opening them, he is magically there. Whether it be on a shallow Bonefish Flat or for a small group of Tarpon cruising towards him. Or... whatever Flip decides. I've never met this man. But he deserves nothing less. To me, he is a part of all of us and because of that, I adore him.

Flip you've been an inspiration since I watched Walker's Cay Chronicles during the 90's. You're truly a legendary Angler / Outdoorsman! 🤙

I think Flip deeply cares about the outdoors and he laments how much the Florida Keys have degraded during his life. Was having arguably the most popular fishing show constantly highlighting the fishery positive or negative in retrospect? Development no doubt played a major role in the decline of the fishery but would it create more positive experiences for anglers as a whole without all the promotion?

At the apex of the saltwater flyfishing craze, in the early to late 90s, these two guys fueled my dreams of hooking a tarpon on the fly rod, which blessedly and eventually came to be a reality. It always appeared they would be fun dudes to spend some time with while staked out on the flats.

Love this! The good old days back home in Cayman, when there were plenty of fish migrating through! By the way, Flip, I seem to remember an old episode of WCC where you fished the Bahamas for bones on fly and used a bright red "worm" fly. Does that ring a bell? I can't find it anywhere but I also seem to remember that was the episode where I learned that if you cover a bonefish head they calm right down.
