Hi KZread gang. Roy and Sarah here. We are happy to present our new channel. We are an older couple just starting out on our lifetime dream of traveling Australia, this great country, in our Hilux and Coramal caravan.
We will be starting from Perth WA and depending on the time of year we get going, we will head North or South, clockwise or anti clockwise. We have no limits on the time away and will be in no hurry to leave any great spots we find, we will stop and create content for you guys. We will have to pick-up some work along the way and are willing to do anything at any time.
We are big KZread followers of other couples & familys traveling our great country, we hope to find new un-published spots to document on our chanel for you.
Sarah says I'm a grumpy old man, but I dare not say that about her, Grey coz were grey and Gypos coz were traveling in a van with Sarah working as a psychic medium. We will show you as it is with minimal editing, "Should be great fun!"

So, a new caravan, that probably weighs a tad more than the car, not a lot of experience towing big vans, and you're toodling along the highway, holding onto the steering wheel with just 2 fingers. Let;s all hope a tyre doesn't blow, especially a front one. Apart from that, cool trip.
@@gregory8282 Very experienced with towing and truck driving, it was just nerv wrecking towing our new van with OUR hard earned. Brand new tyres on the hilux and the van weight is just under the car weight.
Waving to other caravans or heavy vehicles is a good thing, it tells you if the other person is alert and concentrating 👍

Hi Jeanette & Ed. Thank you for suffering our videos😂. As far as the ladder goes, I purchased it off of ebay but they are all over, even Temu etc. Ours is a 12ft and reaches the top of our Semi off-road Coramal quite easily. Hope this helps.

Great idea for the hot hatches. If the panels break. Bunnings sell insulated panels with foil either side, may be a bit stronger.
Yeah, I did think about the foil backed foam. They have stayed up since doing the clips, even on highly corrugated tracks.

Glad I found you guys on KZread. Very interested in the older generation vanners as my wife and I are retiring this year and have ordered our van and new Ute to start our travels. Fly nets on hats will keep you same from the bush flies particularly so thick and sticky save and fun travels, takes a little time to get in the grove happy travels.😊
Don’t overthink your food for the Gibb River Road, you know what you like to eat and if you watch most you tubers they all say they tend to eat the same meals over and over again. We’ve done the Gibb twice and both times just over 2 weeks and survived easily food wise. We never had to top up with water as most station camps have showers and toilets. But you can get water along the Gibb and Mt Barnett Roadhouse has basic supplies as well. Tin spaghetti and bangers and mash are a good back up meal! Just enjoy the ride! I’m a west Aussie and can’t believe how many people go up the west coast, the inland is incredible! We’ve don’t nearly all the back roads up there and never get sick of it 😁

Have you got a house to come back to once your finished with your travels? I am nearly at the stage of retirement and travelling Aussie is on the list for us too, I was thinking about renting the house out whilst we were travelling but I have reservations, good on you for doing this though it's a big step I know.

No house to come back to as yet, we will be looking for a small house once settlement is finalised. So we have something for retirement. ❤️
BTW, it's illegal to drive/tow without tow mirrors, no matter how short the trip.😂
