I like reading about and working on projects about the cool things humans do. Like math! Or art! Or literature, or philosophy! All brought to you by a dog at a podium!
How I wish my Calc 1 class had had any resemblance to this. Who knows, maybe I would have followed through and became a nuclear engineer. I guess we’ll never know. But I do think this should be part of the teaching of Calculus for the sake of future students

I completely agree with Prof. Bressoud, I wish my classes would touch on the history behind calculous. Even if Im not in advanced math classes it would be nice to have some sort of context behind the thing that we're pouring our time into. Good video man.

The long side of the parallelogram is smaller than C/2. I think this part was not taken into account. Proof of the sum of purple parts being smaller than the blue parts is missing. Also why it "approaches" 0 is missing.

neat video, i feel like it's a bit fast paced to properly consider everything but that could be just me. odd to know that usamericans don't teach this in public schools. here in hungary we learn limits then derivation then integration in high school. i had a nice teacher too, he told us a lot about the history behind the concepts.

I really liked the style and content of this video but I wonder if you can re-mix or re-record your voice over with a better mic. The frequency mix is off - too much bass and that blows out the articulation and makes it hard to hear without turning it up too loud. Just a thought - it would make it much more usable for students.

No doubt this is a good video but I have one complaint. It’s like you are reading a script with no pauses, no punctuation, just one long stream of one word after another and spoken by using only one breath. There are no sentences, just one word after another. I’m exhausted and feeling really anxious and stressed trying to listen to your style of speaking.
