I'm interested to see how they generate the renderings of the rendering process. Anyone know if there's a standard tool that outputs those wireframe-to-finished product transition videos? It's pretty cool!

Where is Avatar? And why they cropped the 16:9 movies like Pacific Rim to 2.4 : 1?

For Pacific Rim I don’t know but Avatar had many different ratios while in theaters like if you watch the original trailers there 2.4 :1. It played on Imax for one thing even though it was not shot on Imax and the blu ray show the full 1.78:1 image.

Avatar was made earlier than 2011 (as the description says: "2011-2016") and Weta was the primary studio which did the VFX etc. for it.
