  My 75-year old wife was there with her daughter and granddaughter. Rabid fans. I LOVE all the people singing the chorus when Matty steps back from the mike. Very cool!

  He played an early version of this in one of the lives he did right after he broke up with Diana. this was in July 2021. Its cool to see how sounds now that its complete. I love the process of his songwriting. Great Artist🤩

  I just think this year and last year they’re taking a more relaxed and chill approach to performances, making it more of hanging out instead of doing lots of crazy stuff, I do wish they showed a little bit more energy though

  You know damn well they’d rather play the small clubs too over the bigger venue. It was a fantastic evening, felt just like a rock show again/2017 all over again…except for the crowd of course 😂

  @Grace Hall It was a good show. Im glad I get to see it. Big venues pay more though. Some of those outdoor festivals pay a lot like Glastonbury or Rock in Rio. Huge crowds over 100K means a big payday for a band as well. Since streaming pays nothing, it’s practically the only way to make some money besides merchandising selling TShirts. Greta have played some bigger venues so I’m fairly certain they are doing well. They, like all bands, had to stop touring for a while due to the damn Covid. Now they are back somewhat.

  @@dynjarren8355 well yes, of course. Money dictates a lot of what they end up doing. The label fronts so much of the costs for everything too, they want a return on their investment and im sure the band doesnt mind the income either! I know I wouldn’t. I’ve been spoiled seeing them at so many smaller places over the years so this was a welcomed surprise. Not too keen on the larger venues this year, the crowd and overall vibe has changed. Their next album will dictate wether I stay on for the ride or if my LA run was the end of GVF shows for me.

  @@gracehall6145 Yes, the business side is important but it would be better to be independent of labels. That old game of the label owning a band and putting them in debt with advances is a bad model. Bands end up owing hundreds of thousands of dollars after a Tour. That’s a nightmare. Yes, those were fantastic shows and intimate so you were lucky to see them like that. I just watched a show on KZread where they played Red Rocks. I think if was prePandemic. Excellent show! I can’t go to concerts anymore so KZread is all I have now. I’m not sure I would even go to a big venue if I could. I just watched the Stones on their current Tour. Several were streaming live even. So that is as close as I will ever get to seeing them live. Whatever you think of them, they have a catalog of hits that’s impressive. It was good overall and I wanted to hear them with the new drummer. I wanted to see if it would be the same or not. It’s not the same without Watts but the new drummer is energetic and keeps a fast pace. Anyway, thank God for KZread and cellphone cameras that record in digital quality. The shows look and sound far better then they used to. It’s almost like being there. Anyway, enjoy! 👏🏻🎃
