Not to be overly critical, but I would think for a video about fancy pants headphones, the audio would be better.
Sorry about the audio, it’s the nature of binaural microphones, in my ears, we used at a noisy show floor. Fortunately Danny was speaking clear and relatively loud, otherwise it could have been worse. I have to arrange another setup for interviews at shows, I actually have a dynamic mic that I can hook up to my Zoom F3 next time. Thanks for the feedback 👍

For me the short demerit of the katana go is not able to have a list of customised presets like a user list vs vs factory list. Now i have to tweak the factory presets and overwrite onto them. Whats more is that with this feature you could also place different bank presets alonf with eeach other in one custom bank
That’s a great point. I hope they bring on this feature with a future update. What else features do you miss? I may do a future video to bring these stuff up.
What amp and dac did they use for those model one’s? I own one but no amp and dac wondering if I should to make them sound better.

Yeah, unfortunately the noisy show floor in combination with the open nature of the Grell made it impossible to record my track with less background noise.
Audio Track was completely useless by using unknown electronic music with no bass or vocals ..😢

You are quite right about the lack of vocals, will improve it in the future. But the bass line is there and starts from 00:46.
How similar to 800s is staging?

Are there any specific impressions you could give on the dynamics/punchiness, soundstage, imaging, and separation? Finding a good sounding headphone that excels at these traits at lower cost than HD800s would be the goal for me
I wish I could give a fair feedback regarding your brilliant questions. I only listened to it once and in that noisy show floor, cannot really give a fair assessment now, what I remember is that it definitely delivers a more interesting “Sonic Realism” - a topic I’m currently developing and you’ll going to see more of on my channel - than let’s say HD600 Drop version that I’ve owned for several years. I hope when I’m done with development of my testing and evaluation compared to “Reality” I’ll get a pair, putting it through the test procedure, to give you a proper feedback.

That was fun, thanks for posting. Too bad it wouldn't focus I know how that goes, but it gave an idea of what it was like watching a launch from that vantage point. KZread used to have lots of videos of launches like this by ordinary people, but the algorithm now steers mainly towards content that provides them with ad revenue, so all we get now are the high powered tracking views, which is great but I always like to see something closer to how it looked in person. Ignore the haters on here, this is how they puff up their fragile egos by insulting someone who doesn't happen to know what they do about a particular topic.

By the way there was nothing wrong with calling it a lander, yes technically it's the first stage booster, but it also lands, the one you saw was landing on a drone ship several hundred miles offshore. The glow was probably the entry burn which is done as it reenters the atmosphere, thats why it stopped when it was still above the horizon. The landing burn which happens about a minute later would not be visible from that far away because it would be below the horizon by then. I think the booster was actually visible in the first part of your video, trailing a ways behind the second stage which was the one now firing. The smaller pieces you saw after that were the two fairing halves which come off during the second stage burn, they tumble at first and you can see them flickering in your friend's video as the sunlight reflects off of them. The first stage booster however stays under control the whole time so it doesn't tumble and flicker like that.

I must learn how to control the damn focus on the iPhone 14. I have experienced this issue many times before that its focus gets out of control and almost impossible to tame. Looks great sounds (from what I can tell from this vid) great and just might be great. But... as usual THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE. Every single site that they are advertised on says available on RE-ORDER only and when in they will contact you. BAH-HUMBUG, this is just another sales tactic to boost sales! When asked, they (guitar companies) say that they don't want to get stuck with overstock...hmmm seems reasonable, but the truth is... they get as many anxious people as possible to pre-pay (or wait in line) for this item making you wait a month (or months...like positive grid) to receive it, thus ensuring for themselves a big payday. SO slimy. I was in sales for years and I have seen several variations of this same tactic. It basically creates a false sense of want and fear of not getting. Look at the great vid of this item on Sweetwater and tell me this wasn't produced to make you spend your money drool while waiting to receive it. Yeah! Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

You are quite right, I mistakingly said “pedal” instead of “effect” (it has several Auto Wah). You can connect it to a pedal that gives you manual Wah: that pedal is called “EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal”, you can find it here: www.boss.info/us/products/ev-1-wl/?lang=en-US
It doesn't work for android. I've tried on my phone and tablet, both android. No Katana Go Audio. No matter how many times I restart and reset and uninstall and reinstall and wait forever to see it pop up in my BT scanner, it will only give me a Katana Go Midi. Now I'm ready to return it. Any suggestions?
That is frustrating and unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions besides the ones I gave in my previous comments. The only hope is that BOSS can figure out the issue and release the software update soon.
Hi, after trying many times, I made it happen on android. Not sure what makes the difference, but I restart my phone and I press 2 seconds on the bluetooth button and the AUDIO finaly appears on the device list. Good luck... It worth the ride.
yo, im also on android. i got it to work by holding down the bluetooth button on the katana go whilst in my phone's bluetooth menu. katana:go audio popped up. hope this helps @jrdan57
I still have the worst time making the Go connect to my iPhone 13. Getting constant error-messages. Any suggestions????
Turn BT off, reboot the IPhone, then turn BT back on. Two Katana Go items will pop up, one for AUDIO and the other for MIDI. Audio is needed to stream and MIDI is needed to change the parameters live. If it doesn’t show up in BT, right click on Katana MIDI and select forget to remove then start from scratch. That’s what I did for both my IPhone (14) and IPad Pro 2022 and it worked great.
Thanks for the reply! I have done a hard reset and followed your advice. Unfortunately it doesn’t solve the problem. When pairing, only Katana Go Midi shows up in the list on the app. No matter how long I wait, nothing else happens and the app isn’t connected. And yes, I have right-clicked and deselected/ forgot the MIDI several times now but with the same result. Faulty?
@travelingman4850 I don’t think you have a faulty unit, I experienced the same exact problem, that’s why I decided to make this short video. Pause the first screenshot in this Short at 0:00 and follow the steps precisely and exactly as BOSS describes. I would also add that Step 0 is to launch the KATANA:GO app on your phone.
@@hireality Many thanks! Unfortunately, I have already tried to follow those instructions multiple times (they show up on my unit as well) without any success. Very disappointed with this hassle. Bought two additional Katana Go for my sons’ upcoming birthdays but am now considering to return all of them. I have a Katana 100 Mk II and love the sound and idea of being able to bring the sound when I travel but this is driving me crazy…
I agree with you, I was nearly returning the product because of this, I started to think that this whole idea of being able to play a background track and be able to jam along with it through headphones was a false advertisement by BOSS because my iPhone couldn’t find this damn Audio Bluetooth (only MIDI). Let’s give it a last attempt: 1) turn off your phone Bluetooth 2) launch the katana:go app 3) turn on your phone Bluetooth, don’t select the Katana go midi yet, give the phone a few minute to try to find Katana Go Audio. if found, go back to the app and select katana go midi (I could never see Katana Go Audio on the app Bluetooth scanner) 4) go to your phone Bluetooth setting and now select katana go audio 5) now you should be able to hear your KZread track played via headphones/line-out.

It’s sorted out now. I noticed other folks had the same issue so I created and uploaded a Short about the solution.
The only blunder Boss made with the Katana Go was the omission of a Drum Machine feature which the Nux and Flamma mini guitar amps have. This is an inexcusable oversight by Boss when you competition has a Drum Machine feature. The Katana Go is still great, I have one, but the missing Drum Machine feature hurts it a lot. Would have been a total Home Run with it. Hopefully one can be added to the app in an update

I ordered these headset about a week ago so I have been going down a YT Rabbit hole and I stumbled upon your vid. This is crazy I got a glimpse of what I am going to have when they arrive and I was blown away I am more excited now that Piano sounded like it was in my house. This tech is awesome and I actually listened to a few other headsets from your videos as a comparison and I feel I made the right Choice. Awesome job would love to hear more of the VZZR sad that audio cut out on you best of luck on YT hope you get big and do more videos even comparison videos would be cool.

And absolutely, if I find some time I shall make some comparison videos as well. I think you will be quite happy with the VZR Model One, Vic and Michael deliberately designed them to have great binaural capability. This, in combination with its deep sub-base performance makes it a very interesting headphone. Two years ago, at CanJam SoCal, we got to hear the binaural capture of the first Falcon Heavy Rocket launch KZread video through the Model One, it sounded spectacular. That's one of the videos I need to upload soon. Shine on ☀️
