I really like this prodigious violinist: I like the sound, her great technique and her excellent versatility; in this video, she uses a setting that is very reminiscent of the folk violin or the ancient viella and rebec, in other videos he uses a more "classic" setting, so, I think, that depending on the context, she changes setting, this is an extraordinary thing and not common to baroque and classical violinists!
Prachtig
Beautiful.
❤ נפלא❤
Piece 's name is " La gracieuse ".
Prachtig!
The man is mental
Precioso. Enhorabuena, Pedro y todos los cantantes.
❤
Medieval songs can be a bit of an earache, but this is lovely.
Magnificent. Is it me, or wasn't the instrument regulated perfectly? Marie overcame it superbly.
Very wonderful.
Which peice is this?
Geweldig uitgevoerd!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Beautiful and heavenly
Can anyone tell me the name and composer of this delightful piece. Thankyou very much!
@RosemaryThomas1 I don’t know this piece but I suspect it is from the Mulliner Book, which was published in the Musica Britannica series.
Thank you so much I'll get onto it!@@DouglasAmrine
@@RosemaryThomas1 I asked Skip and he said it is a Byrd Galliard, but didn't say which one! He is in Japan at the moment.
@@DouglasAmrine Thank you so much ..Douglas...I went through most of the available online Mulliner book and Lady Nevilles' this morning...nothing.Will go through the MB Byrd Vols I have again...slowly...fingers crossed.
Beautiful!
Bravo...hautre-contre. Nunca tinha ouvido! Lembra quase um contratenor, mas ao mesmo tempo soa como um leggero bem suave.
Due eccellenze❤
For this instrument to survive new original composition must be written with rock or metal inspired flavour or jazz and blues and ragtime or be taken in places it hasn't been before and push it's limits and limitations
So many things I didn't know about him. Thanks, Micky!
🙂👍🙏
sublime!
magnifico, bellissimo, sensuale
Why do you start "in medias res"?
Verry good. Verry nice.
Long past time McLeod received a Knighthood! Looooong past time!
Stunning performance
The booklet said harpsichord by Bernd Fischer (1984) French double after Claude Labrèche (page 120)
Here is a nice video in which this particular harpsichord is discussed (if you haven't seen it already) kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2aE15KcYKnOmrQ.htmlsi=z0YET9Jx5LXSvIdY
While Peter Mattei is my "numero uno" assoluto, Stephen McLeod is one of the top three greatest singers of our time... underestimated and unappreciated... His "mache diche" is superb. With counter tenor Philippe Jaroussky my "trio" is complete. But what a world when "guitar smashers" receive more acclaim and greater rewards than these great voices, deep hearted interpreters, and magnificant musicians. They are my "top three," but it is time to re-evaluate our attitudes to the highly trained, dedicated, selfless singers and instrumental musicians of the CLASSICAL world. Hugs, Stephan! <3
Very enjoyable! Thank you for posting.
Micky White is good. She is not a trained academic but makes up for that with her passion for discovering Antonio Vivaldi. Particularly, I'll always remember her pointing out (maybe in this video) what she thinks is a discreetly-placed image of Vivaldi among the ceiling artwork in the present church situated at the Pieta Orphanage (Ospedale della Pietà) in Venice.
Really spectacular interpretation.
🙏🏼❤️♀️🎵🕊️
This is my favorite video on the internet

Delightful
beautiful voice!
So happy to have found this.
nice
i might be wrong but this sounds like BWV 1060 not BWV 1052 like the description says
Thank you for your observation! This is indeed BWV 1060 and not 1052. The description will be altered.
