  I am watching Race for Survival:Alaska and in one scene they come upon a tree that has straight lines going down it about 2 inches wide and it’s the claws of a bear!!! That bear has to be the biggest bear on Kodiak island. (They sent teams in a competitive race to Kodiak island that has 3500 grizzly bears. Talk about a homicidal mission! (If any team members were to have been attacked what defense do they have? Bear spray? No mention of it so far! Yikes!)

  I know this is an older video but can you add a 100 watt Renogy penal into this solar controller so you can have 300 watts? Can the controller handle an additional 100 watts?

  From what I've gathered, it's not wise to mix panels. This controller for example, can handle three panels as long as they are identical and under 5 amps each. Otherwise a more powerful controller is needed but the install would be the same. There are 300-400 watt portable panels on the market.

  Just picked up a Hiker trailer ( used) . It’s wired for solar but didn’t come with panels and only a 32 Ah battery that I will upgrade soon. I think this type of suitcase setup will fit my needs nicely. I really like the battery monitor with the battery level as a percentage and not in volts so you have to look at a chart to translate it. Thanks for the walkthrough. TU.

  Nice build! I am looking to do a very similar upgrade to my 2024 Intech Flyer Pursue. On the extension cord to the Renogy panels, you reversed the male and female mc4 leads to make the connections fit and always have the red wire as positive all the way up to the charge controller, right? The reverse polarity on the zamps always confuse me and everyone seems to flip at a different point in their wiring.

  Thank you! So when I deleted the Renogy charge controller from the back of the suitcase panel, I plugged in the extension cable to the panel and it didn't work unless I used the little reverse polarity adapter. I wanted a more plug and play system and didn't want to have to rely on the adapter so I reversed the mc4 plugs on the extension cable (not on the Renogy panel. I left those stock) so that the wires connected red to red as seen in the video. It's confusing but I get why Zamp did it that way so the exposed post on the zamp port wouldn't be hot. It's a great to be able to plug in virtually any panel on the market directly into that port and get a charge going!

  His wife is in the comments❗ Plz read the desc b4 commenting. By all accounts, he's not only a good man but did nothing wrong in this instance. In fact, as they said, everything right. It was a best case scenario. He also asked the Rangers NOT to euthanize the bear, she was just protecting her cub. Thanks to those reading & Blessings to his family🙏❤🐻✌️🇨🇱🇺🇸

  You would think 100 yards is a safe distances until you see mama bear cover it in 3 seconds. Then the tourists scramble to get as close as possible to the bears on the side of the road like they are at Bear Country Jamboree at Disneyland.
