    I moved to Hamilton in 1975 and am so glad I did! The botanical gardens, waterfalls and trails, closeness of Lake Ontario, are wonderful and so easy to get to. Day trips to the Niagara region, Port Dover on Lake Erie, or Mennonite country in Kitchener are all do-able for lovely day tripping. Thankfully as an RN 20 years ago my salary was enough to allow me to buy a modest house as a single person, and I paid it off completely in 15 years -- unfortunately housing prices have gone crazy here, but that is true all over the developed world these days. Pollution has improved a lot since the steel mills cut back and we have more health care and other clean industries. Hamilton is still a friendly city, and it won't take long for you to settle in if you just smile and say hello! If you are well educated and love the out of doors, this is the place for you!

    Hello again 👋 There are a few bathroom locations along the stretch of Hamilton Beach - one by the lift bridge with a water refilling station just off of the bike path by the first parking lot, one at the Lakeview centre with the pool, the ones inside Hutches, more along the bike path at the east end by the "pirate themed" playground before the water park and then one more by the north service road at the most southeast lot where the pickle ball courts & cricket pitch is! Hope that helps 😊🙌

    I Have A Question, When Is The Beaches in Hamilton Are Open. If Anyone Can Answer.

  • @TheGenuineRealtors
    @TheGenuineRealtors3 ай бұрын

    Hi there 👋 The beaches are open year-round! Because of the size of the lake, the waters are still dangerously cold (as in hypothermia is a real concern) through Spring. June/July is when they will be warm enough for a longer swim with August & September being the busiest time of year. Attractions like the Splashpad, pool, etc will open closer to the May Long weekend, while Adventure Village with miniputt, etc are all open from May to September I've covered a lot of the local beaches in this video as well if you were looking for swimming in particular - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mmaC2q2PipWvksY.html

You can find all of their test results from my landing page here: www.genuinerealtor.com/safetoswim That said, there are some easy tips... Don't go swimming right after heavy rainfall, don't go swimming if you see any large clouds of algae in the water & always check the water quality before heading out to the beach. Lastly, DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS - not only does bread kill them slowly, it also increases the fecal pollutants in the water which creates water pollution & is a huge contributor to unsafe water quality. • @TheGenuineRealtors
    @TheGenuineRealtors6 ай бұрын

    Thanks for taking the time to comment - appreciate it! But, I'd say there's some inaccuracies in your comment... Inventory is still down, so no - everyone is not trying to sell their house now. Taxes are always on the rise... so nothing new there. Rates always have the possibility of rising... just as they have the possibility of holding or dropping - just take a look at the US reports & how Bank of Canada will respond to the recent announcements to the south. Biggest housing bubble in the world? Supply & demand is at work here... so with the new starts (aka new homes being built) being 1 for every 25 new residents coming to Canada, it will be highly unlikely the GTA "bubble" will burst barring some catastrophic events. If you feel like brushing up on what's ACTUALLY happening in the real estate market vs. repeating clickbait headlines, feel free to check this insider look I shared earlier this year - kzread.info/dash/bejne/goqg09atm5u4gNI.html

  • @TheGenuineRealtors
    @TheGenuineRealtors10 ай бұрын

    Hello 👋 Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment! I'm so glad your son passed along the video. The market is shifting & a "good time to sell" will depend on a lot of factors - ie. how long you would like to stay in your home or if you're ready to downsize now, how much money you would need to get through retirement/considering moving to a condo so it's less maintenance but your equity is still growing (it's a great time to buy a condo right now due to increased inventory), etc. I would love to schedule a visit with you to chat about where you are at, what your goals are & how we can help you get there! I have shared with multiple people this year already that it's not the best time for them to sell for various reasons, so please know I will not try to pressure you to sell, but rather listen to your situation & help offer options/advise you on what each path would look like. That way, you're making the right decision for you! You can feel free to email me or call 😊 [email protected] 905-639-3300 ext 3 Looking forward to connecting with you 🙂

    @@TheGenuineRealtorsTo be fair, I am a real estate noob, very much lost and learning as I went. Much to your credit, If I had it to do over again, I would have searched for an agent local to the market I wanted to buy in, that way my agent could work more effectively with me rather than me having to research everything that my agent doesn't know from another agent. ;\ Live and learn. My agent was a sweet person though so I had to show some loyalty.

    Any building, heritage or not, that isn't maintained is going to deteriorate. I've seen newer builds falling apart while 100+ year-old homes stand strong. Depends on the maintenance, construction & pride of ownership over the years 😊
