Help! I have the same ice maker. It cycle's through but won't get cold to make cubes. The back metal...tubes are not cold. Is this the condenser? How do i fix this? Hoping you can help. I brought this to work and they love it and I want to get it working.

I’m trying to see if there’s a way to hack immune to get it to freeze less before it drops the ice. It freezes like 4x too long before dropping it…. Completely different ice maker though

Great hack! A tad overkill maybe. I've been looking for a hard switched ice maker so i can add a smart plug but it seems that all countertop ice makers are made almost identically. After watching your video, I tried unplugging mine and holding down the power button constantly while plugging it in and it turns on and starts the cycle. I'm going to try and just short out that switch and see what happens, but i'm pretty sure it will work so I can say "Alexa, start boat ice maker" from the car and have a batch of ice ready for when we get there.

I have a similar one, my route is like this: cover the small transparent led with tape and shine the black one to activate the motion. no damage to it. because whenever you cover one of the two leds, it stops making ice and telling full. and once the black one receive something it starts again.

here is the easy fix and no where in the owners manual will it tell u this. Two things you need to do. remove the backing to expose the pump hose. When it's unplugged and there is water in the bottom blow into the hose line until you hear bubbles being blown. This will clear out the line of any debris or air pockets. also inside the basin where the pump is there should be a little grate that pops off. Underneath that is a aerator which is a small circle with a screen on it which is the size of a dime. Guarantee you it has debris on it blocking thd water flow. This is the main culprit. Water not flowing properly will burn out your switches and everything else. I find it suspect that the owners manual mentions none of this. Trust me you do this your machine will function like it did on day 1.

forgot to mention that the little aerator slides right out. wash it under water and place back. any questions let me know.

So many of these units and their clones have that exact same limit switch damage issue. You'd think they'd have reengineered it by now to fix this problem for good.

As has been mentioned by others, the pins are supposed to be sliding to allow the caliper to float. These are Cleveland Cessna 152/172 calipers, and replacements are expensive if yours are pitted. I also found that the springs fitted to the caliper to pull the pad away from the rotor (to reduce drag, increasing range) tended to cause the piston to tilt in the bore, becoming stuck.

So I took the calipers off my Citicar yesterday, they were STUCK STUCK and I had to use heat to pull them off. The heat also brought about a very interesting discovery, the pins that the caliper bolt to are supposed to be free floating in the knuckle! On my car (and I suspect yours as well) the pins are (were) corroded in place and would not slide properly/at all. Machining a caliper adapter that slides on these pins opens the way to a failure mode where the pins come loose and slide out of the knuckle and the caliper adapter, letting the caliper fall off the car. I like your solution with motorcycle calipers, the stock calipers have other design issues. I'm going to follow the same road, but I will machine my adapters with shoulders just like the stock calipers so that the pins would slide out.
