Someone who was a teenager when the Wrights made their first flight in 1903 could easily have still been around to see Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin land on the moon in 1969.

i think it`s the opposite. Sadly. Most of inventions were originally created to kill people. Space rocket is a good example. Without WW1 and WW2 alone maybe we would still not have computers, war is a polygon for progress, although it's terrifying and, in our century, probably unnecessary
