    The fact that a beefy Bo Jackson and beanpole-shaped Pedro Martinez can both be so dominant at the same sport is one of the best things about baseball.

    We baseball fans should all come together in a class action to sue Bo Jackson because he should have given us at least 10 or 15 ⚾ MLB years, but didn't because he was also playing 🏈 football. He owes us 😊. Nevertheless we are grateful for such 1-derful memories, and Thanks to KZread because we can watch them again and again. 😁 God Bless you Bo !!! 🙏

    Be sure to include his 9 years of robbery from the Angels. Also, his refusal to learn English and his dishonesty about his age! Nice little things people overlook when they are so busy fawning over him

    I just watched an Instagram post about this play. After the throw, you can see Bo with his hand down his pants. We’re thinking he’s fixing his jersey but he’s actually fixing his jockstrap. No said in the interview that after the throw he broke his jockstrap. 😂

    I love the physicality of football BUT Baseball is such a cerebral game. You have to calibrate your mind and your body to process minute tasks in micro-seconds. You have to know numbers that change with every pitch. Not only do you have to formulate percentages and variables but you have anticipate the oppositions reaction without revealing what you know. Baseball is anything but slow and boring, it only looks that way to the untrained eye.

    Andruw Jones should be a lock. Stark is a homer. Watch him vote for Utley and not Andruw Jones, just like last year when he voted for Rolen and not Andruw Jones. Philly voters are the worst, led by Jayson Stark and Marc Narducci.

    Buck O'Neil had a great comment about this. When he was younger, he saw and maybe played against Babe Ruth in exhibition games. Ruth's hits had a unique sound-- and he assumed that he'd never hear anything like it again. Move forward a few years, and Josh Gibson makes the same sound when he crushes the ball. That's two in a lifetime. End of story? No-- the only guy to make that sound after Gibson left the game was Bo Jackson.

    Two things I don't get about MLB- #1- Why women are shut out from playing and #2- why a gaggle of sportswriters, who rarely had the talent to play the game past Jr High School, are deciding who the best players are. Pure BS. And Joel Sherman bouncing in his seat like a little girl is the perfect example.

    Now that the coaching staffed choked again and Alex takes vacations…thinking these guys in lineup are a lock in on contracts I bet the house that one or 2 of these unhappy players want traded just like decent pitchers from past wanted out from the coaching staff in the pen..THATS where you should have started Alex regardless of hurt contracted pitchers you had plenty of time to trade or buy from farm for pitchers that don’t throw batting practice pitches….all while Alex vacations!

    Funny this video was last year but look at what happened this year with the Dodgers, Braves and Orioles. You can’t scream time management and you can’t simulate live playoff games no matter how hard you try. It’s just not the same. That’s way too long for hitter to sit, get rid of this bye week. Besides, this is not the NFL…bye week my ass!

    To me the pitching side is a little gimmicky. Never 30 starts. Never 200 innings. 2 serious, season ending elbow injuries. 86 starts into now, 7 seasons. Averaging 12+ starts a year. He's a #3 in his best year, maybe a 2b

    Devers has a lifetime 1.293 OPS vs Cole. Keep in mind, a 1.000 OPS would win you league MVP; 1.200? That’s Bonds/Teddy Ballgame territory; and Devers is damn near 1.300 vs the best on the planet. He terrifies me as a Yankee fan; even more than Papi.

    There's hall of farmers I never heard of. It doesn't matter if u make the hall. Ur immortalized in the records. Ur documented n will be discovered over n over. Guys, like Bobby Abreu, whether he's in the hall or not, u won't appreciate n recognize him through his numbers. U just had to have seen it.

  • @Rytoast99
    @Rytoast998 ай бұрын

    Facts. Although Abreu is a tough choice to use. Back when he was playing, he had 0 hof-like energy around. Didnt bring a lot of attention to the game despite being a great player.

  • @matsalvatore9074

    @Rytoast99 yeah I definitely never thought he was a hofer but he was one of my favorites on the yankees that short span. I loved him cus he just made things happen n could often times get things going when it felt stagnant. He was always among the fan favorites in Philly New York n LA. That's why I feel if he gets in he won't be the only one of his caliber to be in there. There's guys I feel on paper didn't live up to the hall vote at all n idk why they are there but I imagine it's a similar abreu effect where u just had enough respect amongst peers n fans.
