  I wish I could get that tone. I always said it is the best tone Vai ever played. It's so bright, smooth and pleasing to the ear. I think he used the Carvin X100 or something like that but there must be lots of patches out there nailing it like you did.

  When Randy wanted his offset V built, Grover was afraid that building something different than the standard Strat style Charvel could damage the brand, so Randy suggested that he put Jackson on the headstock. The very first Jackson was Randy Rhoads' white offset V. It's discussed in Original Charvel Gang

  The Green Meanie is described in the documentary THE ORIGINAL CHARVEL GANG. It's an hour and half long of artist after artist who played Charvels in the beginning, and interviews with the guts who built them. Michael Anthony taljs about his Jack Daniels bass. It's killer. Gotta check it out.

  Ha, I just watched the earlier one and now this one. You can see that you have improved a lot, this is very close to perfect. You also did Eugene's part this time, and still the jacket and Jack Butler fail. Doing Eugene's part is excellent as well, you can see you have put a lot of time into this. Cheers, well done. 🙂
