Try exploring, Old Western State Hospital, up on the hill in Steilacoom.😬
I went there in the 90’s when I was a kid. That basement torture section messed me up 😅 Sad to hear the museum closed. I would’ve loved to visit now that I’m older
He even has been voting in our state I hear, along with Cinderella!😂😂
Want a cool place to explore try the old pilchuck mills.
thank you chris.........🎼
Yakima needs a history lesson on the crusades. Muslims and Christians should join forces against the darkness. The whole west coast does.

Weird I’ve never heard this story and I’ve lived here for years
People supposedly see her, I hope someone has tried hugging and comforting her. Maybe that’s what her soul needs
Whatever came of the story that Butch Cassidy's gun was found among William T Phillips personal possessions after he died. Would the host of this fascinating story please get back to me about this question. Also it had been supposedly been reported the WTP knew the way back to Butch's hideout. I had heard this several times over the years.
I am not sure about the gun. I never found a reliable source on it to confirm.
I pet sat at the carriage house by the 2nd Rust mansion for 3 weeks. Glad I didn’t listen to this episode before that is all I can say. Beautiful home though

Some have theorized that Bigfoot is a progression of the Neanderthal man.
Great job! I've worked all over the port as a carpenter and am fascinated with everything that's happening out there.
Congden castle with 80 rooms and an underground swimming pool built in 1 year? No way.
The haunted kalakala. One of my first experiences doing paranormal research, the group I was in, the Washington State ghost society, were guests of the aghost group, who took us onto this ship. The car deck was pretty much rusted out and gone, so we were allowed upstairs. This was about 2000. A very cool ferry for sure.
I used to go to mass there at times when it was open. Miss it so much 😢
this narrative is very American centric completely ignoring that the Hudson Bay Company and NW indigenous Americans were there before them. Ft. Nisqually was established in the 1830's before these American settlers. The Hudson Bay employees rarely brought wives and as a result married local women and had families. Many present day residents have Hudson Bay Co employees and Native American ancestors (I am one of them). It's nice you brought up the Norwegian Foss family one of my great grand aunts married one of the Foss boys.
This is the home of diarrhea smells 🤒
The Stewart Building in Seattle's Metropolitan Tract was named after EA Stewart
Elissa is the best! She's been reporting here for long time. 🎉
I can't find much about Tacoma Boat. I think at one time largest employer in Tacoma. Might make interesting video.
Yes it would!
It opened on my 13th birthday
Live just outside of town of Bucoda. Have never seen nothing crazy, nor heard nothing crazy, other than the siren that goes off as a curfew every night in town that can be heard for miles, but the residents of bucoda don't even talk about spooky stuff, other than for tourist revenue come October. Rest of the time there's no spooky nonsense lol
Sasquatch is your mom
This is the land of the Puyallup people camera pans around white city...
Is it not because on that city is where the older civilization used to be?
Where is the hidden bar? Did you say McMinimon's Elk's Temple?
The weak give up thier lands...the victors reap the spoils of war... all throughout history....deal with it
More like the armpit of yakima.......
Aries is so cute ❤ ... I've lived in Tacoma Puyallup area my whole life 61 year's. Am enjoying the tours thank you very much!😊
I was 16 at the time mt Helen blew. We were trying to catch horses to ride just before it happened, those horses felt and sensed something under foot! We never caught any horses that day.
Fuck no the worst shit hole
Sure would like to see a bit more of the Lalakala’s cockpit!
Me too! Hard to find shots of it and I suspect it’s because of 1940s security
Check that spelling! Kalakala! Sorry about that.
Came across this tour, and I love it. I have done so many gulches as a kid.
I grew up nearby and seem to remember a small store that sold essentialals. I went to school at Pt Defiance grade school.
Great video! I was looking for the history of Western State Hospital, where my 3rd great grandmother died. I hadn’t found out where she was buried and now thanks to Grave Concerns I have found her! Nancy Huhn died 10 years after her husband, a Civil War Union Vet died. Thank you so much!
Thank you.
so many souls Who deserve to be Rememberd
Thank you for helping those troubled folks rest in peace... I've seen them when the ruins used to still be there floating around all ghosting like ..
The view at ~12:40 looks like a bottle-nose dolphin.
I was a seven year old kid when my family took a ride on the Kalakala. I vividly remember the noise and vibrations while she was under way.
I live here 🤣
Kalakala... mahna....mahna....😂
As a kid I probably rode most of the old fleet at one time or another. I rode the Chippewa, the San Mateo, and others, but never seemed to catch the Kalakala. It was always leaving the dock just as the family pulled up to the dock, wherever that was at the time. Thank for putting up the interior shots. As a native northwesterner, I appreciate this presentation.
The Kalakala looked fast, but was slow. As I remember had a top speed of about 18 knots. The steamship company wanted to draw riders from other steamship companies and replace its' own steamship. On its' maiden Seattle to Bremerton run, staged a race between the Kalakala and Tacoma, a steam passenger ferry, known as the fastest single screw steamship. The Tacoma's captain was ordered to loose the race so the Tacoma idled along behind the Kalakala. But on the return trip, the Tacoma's captain ordered full speed and set the record that I believe still stands for the Bremerton-Seattle route. The Kalakala was rebuilt to impress uninformed, superficial people. The Tacoma was scrapped about 1936, too bad.
This ferry looked amazing... but it was horrible to ride on.
Thanks for the education! I'm so glad that you and your wife chose Tacoma to be your city of choice!
You quote Wikipedia in the video description, verbatim. You really should source that. Give credit where credit is due.
Chris, you are correct about what the Mosquito Fleet was.
Nice! Thank you
Noticed your lil' cough in another video not long ago. Ever since you have been in my thoughts and so my prayers.... My hope is for you to be healthy and happy. Thanks for sharing your research for Tacoma where I was Born and raised. That includes the videos all around Washington and beyond. Many places I have experienced. So many interesting facts. Great Job. Thank You !!!
