  Thanks for sharing this. As a Dad who lost their child, I've always sympathized with the Tomoya character. I watch Clannad and After Story about once a year - it gets a little easier over time. When you clean up your act, work hard, and do the right thing - and then you still lose a wife and child, it really makes it hard to believe in a God. Seeing Tomoya lose everything precious to him was difficult, even though it's a fictional character - he represents many single widowers that also lost their child. I still am able to wear a smile on my face - I have to, or I'd lose my mind. Every day has moments of pain, but it's better to keep moving forward. This anime hit home.

  i could not agree more with the title. Clannad is life! With many people who watch this show, it doesn't speak to them, doesn't reach them and that's okay. But for many of us, this show hits. And when it hits, it hits so hard, you'll never forget it for your whole life. I'll always be grateful to the people at Key, the people of KyoAni and to people like you who express their love for the show by making beautiful AMVs.
