GORGEOUS footage. 🕊️ Very nice video. I plan to visit with my daughter this coming fall 2024.
Thanks for the comment! Fall Creek Falls is a special place! Enjoy
Great video, the Ocoee looks bigger and the whole feel is more immersive. Mind sharing your GoPro settings?
Thanks for the comment! I typically run the following settings: *4K 60 FPS *Superview *Boost the Hyper-smooth *High for Sharpness *Vibrant for Color *Wind setting to off The mighty Ocoee is world class indeed! Such a special place! See you on the river!🛶🌊
Bro-you were in my “back yard” and didn’t swing by? Nice video.
I thought about you, Brother! We went during the week early AM to avoid the crowds. Let’s try and get out soon to RI!🛶🌊
Great content, like your style of storytelling keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comment and encouraging words! I love the outdoors and trying to tell the story of each experience!
Clear Creek is a very nice run. Was fortunate to have paddled it a few times years back.
The Obed Wild & Scenic River is such a special place! Clear Creek Gorge is one of my most favorite places to paddle. Upper Clear Creek is an incredible kayak camping run, too. Thanks for the comment!
Great day paddling in a beautiful place with you and the rest of the crew.
Such a special day on the Big South Fork - one I won’t soon forget. You crushed it!
Amazing scenery!
An absolutely gorgeous class I run! Truly stunning in there!
Gorgeous solo hike my friend, these shots are just amazing!
Thanks for the support and kind words! The weather is amazing here in Tennessee with Spring almost here. I’ve got several more hikes on the list to complete. More to come…🥾
Cool hiking spot
Thanks! Lost Creek is a magical area!
So hard to find videos of clear creek! Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed the video! The Clear Creek Canyon PFD still ranks way up on my list of most EPIC days on the water. It’s an incredible place! 🛶🌊
Love it, Daniel, he looked great.
Thanks, Kent! A day on the water with my son is always a special time. Let’s paddle soon. 🛶🌊
Beautiful atmosphere and scenery my friend! Nicely filmed 👏
Thanks - we absolutely love the Savage Gulf area! It is one of our most favorite places to visit/hike in all of Tennessee!
What a beautiful place, this looks amazing! Absolutely amazing!
An absolutely magical place! You can hike to both falls in a few hours - this one takes some work but so worth it!
Daniel, we need to paddle together some time. I have been paddling with Kirk and he has told me about you. I live in Cookeville so not too far from you.
Absolutely, Kent! I’d love to paddle soon. The Spring rains and warmer weather are very close. Shoot me a message on FB Messenger / or Kirk could share my number with you, too. Paddlin w/Kirk is always an EPIC day!🛶
Very nice and happy video 😊
Thanks! Greeter Falls is a magical place! 🥾
Absolutely Gorgeous thank you so much for filming this…I would love to see it someday 😊
Thanks - we absolutely love Virgin Falls! It is one of our most favorite places to visit/hike in all of Tennessee!
For us old guys who like watching kayaking videos...could you at least say where these runs are? What state and region? Anyway, very nice run. W Va. Tenn?
Whites Creek (Rhea County, TN) - link in the description to American Whitewater and more information. Thanks for watching!
Thanks. From the bedrock I thought maybe that part of the country. Very nice run, like one I could have even done, lol.@@wolfriveroutdoors
Is there an online gauge for this section?
You’ll need to reference the Whites Creek level at the Highway 27 Bridge (river-left pylon). Several Facebook Groups share visuals after area rain events, too.
Did you portage around Double Drop?
Yes, we all portaged Double Drop on river-right (except for Kirk). The temperature was around 20-22 degrees that morning, and we didn’t want to risk a bad experience at the end of an incredible trip. Double Drop is located about one mile above the take-out at Barnett Bridge. It can sneak up on paddlers due to a blind turn just before the approach. It’s a tricky class III with some undercut rocks river-left and below. Scout accordingly if you decide to 🔥 it 🆙
Is US 127 the same as Gatewood Ford? Planning that trip soon. Coming from NoVA. What was the flow? Great video.
For the Put-In: 36.16915° N, 85.02842° W Upper Clear Creek is an incredible trip! Around ~20.4 miles with incredible scenery, canyon walls, great water quality and solitude. Highly recommend an overnight trip in there! Take it slow - and take it all in! Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous scenery my friend! Views are great!
The Big South Fork is a special place! Happy New Year!
Amazing Sedona..xx
Love Sedona!!! Such an incredible place! Can’t wait to go back.
next year I'll be there! thx for the video! :)
Enjoy your trip! It’s an incredible place - so much to do!
What a picturesque scenery 👏👏👏
Thanks for the kind words - We had an incredible trip in Sedona! We are already planning our next trip - so much more to explore like Oak Creek Canyon! Arizona is a beautiful place! Enjoy the other videos, too. Thanks
What a beautiful hike my friend, this looks amazing!
Thanks for the kind words - We had an incredible trip in Arizona! From Sedona - Grand Canyon - Route 66 in Williams all the way up to Page - pictures and video do not adequately display the beauty! It’s an amazing state!
Beautiful video! Suggestions on good budget hotels please..😊
We plan to stay at an Airbnb vs a resort on our next visit. Highly recommend a trip to Puerto Vallarta - we had an incredible time!
I'm going there this weekend... I'm SO EXCITED!
🔥🔥it🆙🛶🌊 It’s a very unique place. Fun - challenging - safe! I’m excited to go back soon.
@@wolfriveroutdoors I just had like the best time of my life there yesterday! I can't wait to go back!
Couple of good rolls. Congrats on those. I would recommend waiting until you can reach over the top of the wave on Double Reactionary before throwing that left boof stroke. On Accelerator, you really have to work at it if you want to stay on the green tongue. I ran this river twice during WoR this year. The first day, I fell off the tongue at Accelerator, but managed to stay upright. The second day, I nailed the line and missed the bottom hole completely. Hard left angle and aggressive paddling on that rapid yields the best results. Congrats on the PFD. It really is a fun river to run.
I really want to paddle the Pigeon River again soon! It is a fantastic run! Double Reactionary and Accelerator are tricky rapids indeed. Thanks for the encouraging words! SYOTR🫡🛶🌊
cool cool
Thanks / Keep the stoke high! SYOTR🫡🛶🌊
My friend Ernie came with me to the Boy Scoout jamboree. We were leting scouts kayak in a lake. Ernie had no experience. Before the jamboree started I taught him kayak strokes and during the week worked with him on a roll. After 10 days straight we got in a lot of lake paddling. On the way home we stopped and did the Hiwassee. He did great, but on his first attempt to surf a wave he flipped over and never tried to roll. OK finished the river, the next day the middle Ocoee. Snuck down the river, did a buddy up on table saw, and he survived the Ocoee. At least the water is warmer than the Nantahala on the Hiwassee.
That’s awesome! Your friend, Ernie, has a great friend. That’s what it’s all about - time spent paddlin with friends and family! Keep the stoke high! ALL FORWARD!🫡🛶🌊
Very cool and well done. You put in at Window Cliff road? Any kind of flow info or stick gauge anywhere that is useful? Any other significant hazards other than the Falls you portaged and the big strainer?
Yes, we put-in at the small bridge on Window Cliffs Road. It takes some rain to get rockin but will hold fairly well during the winter. Be sure to check for wood around the tight corners. Best to portage the Falls on river-right. Also, be on the lookout for the cables that hikers use to cross the creek (you can use your paddle and lift them up). I’d love to get back on this run with a bit more water than we had that day. It is incredibly beautiful in there (very remote also). 🔥🔥it⬆️ SYOTR🫡🛶🌊

You're doing amazing work here, keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words! All the best!🫡🛶🏕️
what beach is this?
Galleon Beach to the Pillars of Hercules We used Scooter Snorkeling Tours. Highly recommend! skylork.com
This looks awesome! Would you say it's a good spot for whitewater beginners?
Absolutely, Sean! The Hiwassee River is an excellent place for an introduction to whitewater and to practice skills from beginner to advanced. Lots of folks rent tubes and float down the river in the summer, too. The mountain scenery and camping options are plentiful in the area as well. Get out there and enjoy! SYOTR🫡🛶🌊 Other great beginner options: Lower Section - Pigeon River (Hartford, TN) / Tuckasegee River (NC)
