I tried this and I tried the GX. The GX is absolutely awful, the GT is such a better bike. So I bought a GT in red and I do not regret it. It's a fantastic bike with a fantastic engine. Put it in A mode. Get it over 5,000 revs and it's an absolute animal.

Yeah I was happy with the Dunlop tires, gone from South coast to Scotland and back again wore them down and now I've got pilot sixes on because I know that tire, but I didn't find much wrong with the dunlops. My chain's not gone. Rusty yet. Heated grips yep, I fitted those as soon as I bought the bike. I did buy a new screen but it was just a dark tint, That's it. I use the alpinestars r10 helmet so the aerodynamics on that are perfect, so i don't need a taller screen. I absolutely love this bike and after 5 to 6,000 revs it is an absolute animal.

Lone wolf is the safest bet. Went out for a ride with a group of local riders, riding a road that they all said they knew I crested a hill only to find three of them stopped on a sharp right-hand bend, leaving me with two options, take the corner and pray they stay still or look for a soft spot and scrub off as much speed as possible before leaving the road. I did very little damage to the bike, and was more pissed off that I'd even gone out with them.

I bought this bike last month and love the bike. I will be changing the tires after I run these down a little. I have a Honda ST1300 and have the Michelin 6s and love those tires. They do make a great difference. I live in Texas and have not seen rust on my chain and sprocket as of yet. Great vid I like watching rides from other places and countries.

If you go hunting, you'll find that ZF - the manufacturer of the lovely 8sp auto in our F25's - recommend periodic maintenance and do not subscribe to this BMW 'lifetime fluid' line. The pan has an integrated filter in the same way the ZF 6 has. If you're still running your F25, I recommend this as a maintenance item with ZF Lifeguard fluid in the same way you're adopting periodic fluid replacement for your diffs and transfer case. Hope that helps.

Lifetime of the whole car BMW would say is 60k miles. That is all they want your car to last, then they want you to buy a new one. All fluids need changing regularly if you want a longer running car, that includes the gearbox. There's no reason not to also change your gearbox fluid. #planned-obsolescence

Thanks for the honest review. I test drove the BMW XR over a year ago! I can easily afford the XR so price was a very tiny factor for me.. then I test drove a 2022 GT a few months after that! By the time I got to 3rd gear on the GT my mind was made up! I ordered the 2023 model Suzuki GSXS1000GT+ early last year, got it a few months later and have had more fun than anyone should ever have over 15 thousand kms in less than a year.. that's saying something coming from a Tracer 900 which was an excellent bike! I totally agree about the tyres. The stock Dunlops slid on everything except warm pavement (triggering traction control alot) here in Northern Ontario.. so I put on a set of Avon Spirits which completely woke the GT's handling and cornering right up!

Beautiful ride out I don’t do enough riding long distance on my bike I just keep going for an hour heading where ever my mood takes me then when I head home not knowing where I am I just put in home fastest route and make my way home until I know where I am then make my own way home can be sometimes a 5 hour ride but you find some beautiful places like that but you have beautiful countryside the further north you get and I’m in Essex near Colchester so bit boring till I get mostly Suffolk Norfolk Cambridge back roads but time I packed my panniers and had a 3/4 day cruise out ride safe take care can’t wait for part two ride safe take care mate and enjoy 👍👋

@midlifecrisis22 my personal opinion is that there's more money in doing 'easy' jobs like brake pads/discs etc. The ZF dhp8 oil change, as per their US website, states that oil change intervals are between 50000 to 75000 miles MAXIMUM and less if towing. Came across your video as I've just had my gearbox, diffs and VTG oil done today on my X5. Oddly the oil in the rear differential was the cleanest! My car is a 2015 and has done just shy of 48k. On holiday in Poland and found a reputable BMW independent . Engine oil change, aforementioned gearbox and diffs and a new washer bottle (fill sensor failed) all for £1100! Not cheap but probably cheaper than back in Blighty

diff gear oil is some of the worst smelling stuff even when new. I've just done my wife's F25 X3 35i xDrive diffs and transfer case is next. Then on to my E46 M3 diff (replaced it in January) oil change after break in + transmission fluid. Liqui Moly 75w90 for X3 diffs X3 Transfer case is the BMW specific oil Liqui Moly 75w140 for E46 M3 diff + Friction modifers (instead of the expensive BMW branded Castrol)

Thanks for the review Adie i like this bike....just a note on the Dunlop tyres, it just may be that you have a personal preference for the feel you get from the Michelin's as opposed to the dunlops...it doesn't necessarily follow that they are a poor tyre. I've ridden on a bike shod with this Dunlop 2s and they felt fine. Just a thought 😊
