As a math student we can confirm we are horrible - we actually think people should know stuff like 2+2=4 but that seems to be too high a standard for most??

As someone with an Economics degree: A lot of it is studying human behavior to try and figure out the best way to get and distribute resources. While it involves a lot of math, it also involves a lot of politics. This is how you get various economic systems like Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, etc and each one has a time and place where it works best. For instance, Communism works best in small communities where everyone knows one another. That social aspect creates two things: 1) Everyone can see the direct impact their actions have so they have plenty of motivation to get all of their necessary work finished. 2) It's easy to prevent corruption because there are immediate social consequences for shady behavior (And more impactful consequences if everyone is on board with tossing someone out of office early). However, once you get to the size where people can't see the impact their work is having on others and leadership doesn't have to face immediate social consequences, then it starts falling apart (And that's *before* you get to resourse allocation. Pretty easy on the small scale, *much* more complicated the bigger the population gets). All that being said: I don't trust Business majors. They're absolutely only there to make money. Management majors are on thin ice. On the one hand you absolutely need people who are good at organizing things in order for any society to function properly and those skills are often not intuitive. On the other hand the name alone attracts Business majors and there are definitely people there who are just out for money and not to be a good leader.

My jaw kinda dropped at first. All my filler classes are full of whiney brats who like complaining about problems they’ve never experienced while not wanting to do anything or study anything that’ll actually fix those problems. And then my math classes are just full of people doing math haha

For me it's not really any particular degree, but I would say humanities degrees generally and law school students with only a humanities undergrad (JD is a post UG degree here unlike British LLB) would definitely at least suggest something about the person that would be very negative in my eyes. I would say this really does apply more to women than to men. With men, finance and business school types tend to be the most offputting as they often come across as very superficial even if they are also into a lot of the same things I am. Green flag is definitely a PhD in the hard sciences or something where you do a lot of math.

A degree in management is like having a degree in cooking without having ever set foot into a kitchen. Whenever I meet a young person with a management degree I immediately know that they don’t know anything about economics or work or employees except what they’ve learned in a textbook.

The fact that they mention properly useful subjects with real-world potential speaks volumes about that university and the general attitude of its students towards the concept of education and contributing towards society. This is why they're deeply resented by the mainstream of society.

Many hate on math giys cuz we r cold and calculated.. you saw that its girls ralk shit about us, and dating us? Cuz no, I won't go for coffee in that restaurant, its expensive af there for no reason, ifk its your favorite place. We can just walk in look around if you like... and yes we decide trolley problem by asking how important these people are the society. Yes we r not good with ladies, cuz most of them can't think logically, and cold-calculated, nothing makes sense what they do and how.. thats it.

Im German. JFK said he's a person from Berlin. Berliner literally means "of Berlin" (masculine). Also the pastry called Berliner Kreppel (Kreppel of Berlin) is a sweet fried sugar coated pastry. Its not a hot dog. It's not a doughnut. What you call a jelly doughnut is a Kreppel. Also, in German you can split Hamburger at any syllable Ham-burg-er
