Dear Guest...
I'm Andrew Mack, a student and aspiring writer with a deep passion for oral storytelling. Having been inspired by iconic narrators like Stephen Fry and Martin Jarvis, I've realized the power of stories. I understand that not everyone has the time or energy to read books for themselves, so let me do it for you.
Whether you're driving, resting, or just going about your day, let me take you on a journey to distant worlds and times past. If my account of these tales resonates with you, I'd appreciate a like, comment, or share with someone who might enjoy it. You can also support our narrators directly through the SuperThanks feature by the like button on all videos. Wishing you all delightful listening, from me and my team.
If you would like to be paid as a narrator for Mack Makes Audiobooks then be sure to click on the link titled "Become a Narrator".
As always,
happy listening

Intriguing story fully depicting the old and rugged ways of the old west along with Thier sorrows and deepest feelings. I marvel at L’AMOUR’s ability in writing.

To tame a land thank bro for the reading
That is very upsetting I wish you could have more Louis Lamour on here when I was a little girl this is how my dad taught me to read he would read a chapter and then set the book down and of course we wanted to know what was going to happen next so we had to learn to read then he would come back later and read another chapter or two and then give us back the book he would do this periodically which kept us so intrigued just thought I would share a memory miss my dad
What a special memory of your Dad! Thank you for sharing! I really wish I could record more Louis L'Amours❤️🎧

To Tame a Land. I did enjoy your telling of this story and please keep them coming.
Thank you for your support Tony!❤️🎧
As a boy growing up in the 1960s, my favourite genre of movies were westerns. Still my favourite in my old age. An amazing author, creating, enticing, atmospheric stories. You're a great story teller. Keep up your excellent work! Thank you.
Thank you for your continued support of the channel!🎧❤️
This is how my dad taught me how to read he read all of us two or three chapters get us hooked and then put the book down and and of course we had to finish it and later he would come back and read another chapter where we were at and then he would give it back to us I love those memories of my Dad
Absolutely amazing! 🤩 Such a great memory! Thanks for supporting the channel!❤️🎧

My mother‘s father was a big fan of pulp westerns. She had a great big box of the paperback books that he had collected throughout his life. Many of them were Louis l’Amour and Max Brand. He passed away, very young his wife who was illiterate and not much of a reader Wanted to burn those books, but my mother took them and hid them away in the attic. I used to sneak up there when I was a youngster probably between the ages of 10 1112 and read them. I didn’t get a lot of it but my mother seemed to think that they were inappropriate for me. I don’t know why I don’t recall any horrifying sex scenes or anything like that in them. But I was a little innocent and if there was anything like that, I just passed it over and didn’t understand it I guess, but I have always been a big fan of westerns in the written word and the TV variety. Eventually, when my parents sold the farm and moved out, I believe the books were left there which makes me sad of course when I was young and was trying to read them. The pages were already almost orange and brittle so now where I’m almost 70, I’m sure they’ve crumbled the paper or been used as toilets by mice. But that’s where my fascination with Western books, especially by Louis Moore and others of his generation came from and I really enjoyed this reading. I enjoyed the way that the reader, as if he was the narrator that was much better than the robot voice that some of the people who read these books use. Or perhaps they are robots reading them on some computer program. All I know is that I enjoyed this very much and I’m gonna be on the lookout for the same reader reading these types of books.
Please excuse the mess that this turned out to be. As I said I’m old. My eyes cannot see this tiny print, so I use the audio feature to dictate my comments. And apparently it doesn’t understand a Minnesota accent very well. I actually do know how to communicate in the English language quite well. Sorry it appears that I’m an idiot.
I am so glad that you enjoyed my reading of this book. Mr. L'Amour was a true credit to the Western genre and his books and their landscapes continue to carry some unattainable essence that captivates the imagination. His style is one that gives enough insight into a character to excite but also enough privacy to remind us that his characters live private lives and have private thoughts of their own. It is amazing that you have such a rich personal history with the books and I only count it a privilege to help you relive it.

I’m working in a tiny trap house trim room by myself in a room smaller than a prison cell with the dehumidifiers and air conditioning as loud as you can imagine. Thankfully I have noise cancellation headphones and found your channel. So today I wasn’t in my little hidden job, I was in Colorado and New Mexico hearing this wonderful tale. I’m sorry you can’t make more L’ amour you did great at this one.. thank you

I remember reading My Antonia in high school and it didn’t leave much of an impression on me, but some stories need to be spoken aloud, not read silently. Schann Stewart’s narration captures the atmosphere of the 19th century Great Plains vividly. I recommend turning off all distractions, put on headphones, close your eyes, and allow yourself to be transported to a different time and place. Her distinctive voice lends realism to Cather’s classic tale and brings it to life. Enjoy the journey.
Thank you so much for your support and kind words! ❤️🎧🙏
So Beautiful ❤
Thank you for listening!
To tame the land.. Thank you
My pleasure. Thank you for listening
Great audiobook, around 6 hrs and 40 minutes in, on the switch from chapter 24 to 25, 16 repeats instead. I am not past this point so i don't know what the rest holds, hopefully fixed. Once again though, great audiobook. Nice job.
Chapter 25 is at 8:20:32
Apologies for the repeat -must have been a lapse in my editing
Excellent narration by Schann. Her talent shines with the wide variety of voices. This isn’t just a voice actor reading a book. She points emotion into each of the characters and her English accent is superb.

Hi , read all info u provided for becoming a narrator. If I’m going to commit long term I need to read some books that your page is missing ,Empowering & Spiritual books. Do u want them on ur page? Will draw a new group of ppl? If yes, my other question is How big of a learning curve is the program?
I'm always open to new genres, but I would have to say that I have 2 years worth of data to say that Western fiction is the undisputed bread and butter of this channel. I would like to continue recording Westerns as these both do well with the current audience and are significantly in the public domain. Empowering and Spiritual books tend to be new-age and hence not in the public domain. The program is very simple once you have read the audition guidelines which are self explanatory. You can also find the "What to expect when working for MMA" Q&A which answers a great many questions you may have.
